  1. After three software updates, I can say in our experience definitely NO. My daughter has given up learning to drive in it, and her instructor ( who has driven it) described it has "shocking".
  2. I think it is definitely a case of upselling, as they tried to sell me a 5 year service plan even as I was telling them the car goes back next April.
  3. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, thats the point. They may as well say "your brake pads are 20% worn. We suggest you replace them now!".
  4. Kangarooing, software update, more kangarooing, knocking from somewhere offside front, too many random electrical/software glitches to mention.
  5. Is there anything useful you can do on a Karoq with Carista?
  6. Hi all. Our beloved (not!) Karoq is in for it's second service ( just over 2 yrs old and 17k ) and the dealership is recommending the AC is serviced at a cost of almost £150 notes. Has anyone else had this request? and has anyone else felt it nescessary? My VW Transporter is 4 1/2 years old with nearly 100k on the clock and hasn't had one or needed a AC service/regas, and all the other cars/vans I've owned have never had a regas until at least 100k, and only when they needed it. Another dealership attempt at daylight robbery? or are the new AC systems just not as robust as previous cars?
  7. a, a piece of @@@@. Damn phones and fat fingers. The problem is we have it for another two years, and the faults don't get sorted, and they keep adding up as the months roll on. Apart from the "kangarooing " which is ongoing, the rest of the faults are intermittent and bloody annoying ! I honestly can't think of another car we've had with so many problems, has I'm sure I've already said, first and last Skoda for us.
  8. Irony couldn't come close to how we feel about this car. It's been piece of..........
  9. Our's is definitely occurring again, along with a knocking from somewhere front right, and the central locking going mad everytime you slow down and pull away again. The second service was due a while ago, but no chance of that or anything else been sorted anytime soon. Good job we aren't using it much.
  10. Well I am pleased to announce that after driving now for 4 weeks on from the "Kangarooing fix".......Its back! It's my wife's car, and though I don't drive it very often we both agree the fault is back. It is no way as bad as when it was at it's frustrating worst, but the fault is creeping back in. I am absolutely pig sick of this car, and all our dealings with our local dealership. I can't wait to get rid,and I will tell anyone who asks, exactly how bad it has been. Why VW and Audi had a fix available months before Skoda is completely staggering.
  11. A quick show of hands please. Who has had the recall/fix done after Skoda had contacted them ( dealer or otherwise), or who had to chase them up?
  12. Sorry for my ignorance, but is there a problem with the DSG's as well? If so what is it?
  13. We had the update done last Wednesday, and so far so good. On other issues with the car, not so happy with the dealership.
  14. Great, so they haven't solved the problem then.
  15. To be honest it's my wife's car and I barely use it, but I had it for a couple of days last week and it reminded me that I need to sort it. I've only dealt with the dealership but if I don't get any joy tomorrow, Skoda UK will be getting a call.
