Servicing
Thanks. How often do you change the brake fluid?

Good point re the belt. I hadn't realised it's chain driven, and that that never needs to be changed! Also, thx for the Haldex tip - theyve never mentioned that either. Maybe it's time to change mechanic!

Servicing
My 2019 2.0 TSI 4x4 is due for it's annual service, and i'm after some advice from other Superb Mk3 owners. It has been serviced annually by my local VAG specialist as follows: First and second years: oil change Third year: oil and brake fluid change Fourth year: oil change Fifth year: oil, air filter and spark plug change Pollen filter has also been changed a few times. I've realised that i've just blindly followed the VAG mechanic's advice, without really thinking about what should be serviced and when. The only advice i ignored (last year) was the cambelt. As the car had done only 9k miles - now 11k - i didn't think it was worth the 600£ they were asking, especially given the move toward mileage-based replacements. I've looked at the Skoda website - https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price - but it's a bit confusing. It suggest the spark plugs should have been changed after four years, but that the air filter didn't need to be done before six years. It also says nothing about the DSG service (which my mechanic has never mentioned). Does the servicing look right? And, given i'm a very low-mileage driver, what should i get done this year?

Fault codes after changing battery
Thanks, @nta16 . You are correct that the old battery was charged slowly to 100% - i also attempted to recondition it with my CTEK MX5. But, even tho' the CTEK didn't flag any errors, the battery just couldn't hold charge and had to go. I checked again and the child locks on both doors work exactly as they should. The only issue is the buttons do not light up when active. This must be what has triggerred the error, but trying to figure out why is going to be a challenge!

Radio with Weak/Intermittent DAB Signal
@pab567 Hi there. I have the same error: 00012 [0x00000C] B110311: Digital radio antenna 1, Short circuit to ground Aerial for digital radio - short circuit to ground Status bits: 1 Priority: 6 Frequency: 1 Unlearning index: 60 Odometer: 19156 km Date, time: 2025.10.05 14:29:55 Paramteric values: 02 86 7C 18 2E 02 02 6E FF FF FF FF FF FF Status: Test failed, Confirmed DAB radio seems to work fine, however. My VIN is TMBMP7NP2K7050937. Any thoughts ? Many thanks in advance!

Fault codes after changing battery
I didn't drive the car for almost five weeks in August and left the dashcam plugged in to the 12V socket. When i got back, the old EFB battery was at 2.5V ! It was anyway on its last legs - 6.5 yrs old and the start-stop had never worked properly. So, i decided to upgrade to an AGM battery. Apart from all the errors, start stop at least works now.

Fault codes after changing battery
I actually noticed today that the buttons don't light up, and i was planning on checking whether they should (as i can't remember if they light up or not). But they both definitely work when i press them.

Fault codes after changing battery
Just a quick update: i got back from my trip, and the ACC error and warning triangle have disappeared! Whilst i was away, my wife had been driving the car short distances, but she didn't do anything to the car so this is a mystery! The electroinic child lock error is still there, however - grrr.

Fault codes after changing battery
@nta16 I'm away ATM so i cant try the headlights and blower things till i get back next week. I did do the steering-wheel thing, however - that got rid of all the other errors. I did upgrade to an AGM battery, but i think i adapted it correctly. For the serial # i used the installation date - eight digits instead of ten, but i dont think that matters. The scratches you see have been there a good while, so that's unrelated to this issue. The child lock thing i still dont get - i will need to do some testing, i think. Re the ACC misalignment, I read that OBDeleven Pro can be used to recallibrate the sensor - any experience with that tool? "Use it when the error code "C110300 - Adaptive Cruise Control sensor misadjusted" appears. As long as the radar is positioned correctly, this application can fix calibration issues without the need for special stands or other tools." https://obdeleven.com/customizations/skoda/adaptive-cruise-control-calibration

Fault codes after changing battery
@nta16 I have cleared the error codes and the same two orange warnings return. Interestingly, there is no sign of child electronic lock fault in the DTC logs. The error codes I'm getting now are: 00791 [0x000317] C110300: Adaptive cruise control sensor, misadjusted FAULT_MISALIGNMENT_VERTICAL U112200: Databus implausible message FAULT_CIM_CHK_LWI_01FAULT_CIM_CHK2_LWI_01 Status bits: 1 Priority: 4 Frequency: 1 Unlearning index: 59 Odometer: 18947 km Date, time: 2025.09.18 13:02:31 Paramteric values: 02 8D 5C 02 85 78 10 11 00 00 10 12 00 00 10 2E 06 Status: Test failed, Confirmed 00012 [0x00000C] B110311: Digital radio antenna 1, Short circuit to ground Aerial for digital radio - short circuit to ground Status bits: 1 Priority: 6 Frequency: 1 Unlearning index: 59 Odometer: 18947 km Date, time: 2025.09.18 13:02:59 Paramteric values: 02 86 7B 18 2E 02 02 6E FF FF FF FF FF FF Status: Test failed, Confirmed I installed the new battery myself and adapted it correctly (i think). It had a good charge as i put it on trickle charging with my CTEK before installing it. Overtightening the clamps is possible (tho unlikely) as i have no idea how tight they should be. Changing the battery was simple, and i can't see how i could have damaged anything. The car has been on several short drives around town, but not a proper long drive. As mentioned, the child locks appear to work despite the warning, but the ACC doesn't work at all.

Fault codes after changing battery
the calibration error did not happen when the voltage was low. it happened one day after fitting the new battery, when the voltage was high.
-
Fault codes after changing battery
no, I haven't cleared the error codes yet - i will try that tomorrow. You make a good point about the voltages. I had to change the battery as the voltage on the old battery dropped to 2.5 as i was away for five weeks. I do suspect the fact these errors happened after the battery change is not just a coincidence.

@Cairus in that case, to access the sensor, it looks like i would have to remove the plastic area highlighted - am i correct ?

Fault codes after changing battery
Is it behind the bit ive circled in red? I almost certain there was no parking shunt or similar as it had been in the drive since changing the battery the day before.

Fault codes after changing battery
Just to add, i have tried to locate the sensor on my Superb mk3 to check if it's obstructed in any way, but i am unable to find it. The car has a front facing camera that is hidden in the rear-view mirror enclosure. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Fault codes after changing battery
Hi, all. Since changing my battery a few days ago, i have two fault codes that are not disappearing: Electronic child lock - not a big deal as it seems to be working Front assist unavailable - ACC is not working at all. I've run diagnostics using Car Scanner Pro, and the bit that seems relevant is: 00791 [0x000317] C110300: Adaptive cruise control sensor, misadjusted FAULT_MISALIGNMENT_VERTICAL U112200: Databus implausible message FAULT_CIM_CHK_LWI_01FAULT_CIM_CHK2_LWI_01 Status bits: 1 Priority: 4 Frequency: 1 Unlearning index: 59 Odometer: 18907 km Date, time: 2025.09.13 13:36:41 Paramteric values: 02 8D 56 02 85 7B 10 11 0A AD 10 12 08 A5 10 2E 02 Status: Test failed, Confirmed Can anyone help me with interpreting this? Before changing battery, i never had a single error message. Having said that, the timestamp here is one day after i installed the new battery, so maybe it's unrelated to the battery - a coincidence, perhaps.

Replacement battery
Thanks @Warrior193 . I guess faults might be an issue given how low the existing battery got. Also, i did call out Green Flag before starting the CTEK trickle charge, and they tried boosting it etc. Their conclusion was that it needs to be replaced, but that i could try the trickle charge first. @Danoid Varta is sold out. Anyway , I'm not too bothered about brand. More concerned about AGM and adaptation.

Replacement battery
My 6.5yr old battery seems to have given up the ghost after not driving the car for over four weeks. It's an OEM EFB Moll 6R0 915 105 B 12V 69Ah 360A DIN 680A EN / SAE / GS. It was down to 2.5V and is currently on trickle charge with a CTEK MDS 5.0 (in the faint hope it may be recoverable). If i have to replace it, i'm looking at two options from Tayna: Enduroline 096EFB 70Ah 650A EN - 83£ delivered Enduroline 096AGM 70Ah 760A EN - 113£ delivered It looks like i have a thermal sleeve around the battery - see photo - so i assume i could go AGM. But i know that if i switch to AGM i will need to activate it. For this i would invest in an adapter like the Vgate iCar Pro2S and CarScanner Pro app. That will add another 35£ to the overall cost. My questions: If i go with the Enduroline EFB, is it a close-enough spec to the Moll to get away without activation? Is the AGM worth the extra cost/effort?

Fuel guage not moving after filling small amount of petrol
That's useful to know. I suspect the threshold for the car to register the fill is around 8-10l.
-
Fuel guage not moving after filling small amount of petrol
Is there no physical float in the fuel tank that moves the dial needle on the dashboard? Or is that dial also computerised now?
-
Fuel guage not moving after filling small amount of petrol
Yes, ive seen that somewhere as well. I realise the range figure isn't all that accurate. But filling 12l should have taken the gauge out of the red. But it didn't move at all. It's as if the car didn't realise it had been filled. That is simply odd.

Fuel guage not moving after filling small amount of petrol
Hey, guys. I have a 2019 Superb, and i normally fill the tank full with 99 octane fuel (from Tesco). The guage always moves to full, and the range adjusts accordingly. Yesterday, i was running low - range: 15 miles range - and decided to fill a small amount - 6l - of 95 octane. After driving off, i noticed the guage hadn't moved and the range was still showing as 15 miles. So, i decided to fill another 6l at a different fuel station. Same issue - in fact, the range has now dropped to 10 miles. 12l should easily have taken me out of the red! Has anyone come across such a thing before?
