  1. The speaker in the instrument cluster on my 2018 Skoda Fabia Mk3 seems to have failed. Looking on YouTube it appears that this can be replaced, but on older Fabias you have to unsolder the non-functioning speaker. I'm not keen to try that. Newer ones may be plug in. Does anyone know the status of the speaker connection for the Mark III? Many thanks ... Stephen
  2. Very helpful thanks. I was going to do what you suggest - take off a wheel and try it. But I don't have a jack at the moment (the car didn't come with one). Will now buy a spare and a jack :-)
  3. My 2017 Skoda Fabia Mk3 has a wheel well but no spare tyre. Will a full-size wheel and tyre fit in this space? (I recently got caught out by a nasty puncture and found the whole gloop-and-pump solution disappointing and had to call AA to get the car home. I have vowed that won't happen again and carrying a full spare plus jack, like in the old days, is my preferred solution.) Thanks for answering, and for all the great info I find here on Briskoda. Stephen

  6. My trusty 2017 Fabia has 185/60R15 H 84 tyres and I am thinking of getting a fresh set. It only has 23,000 miles on the clock, but the front passenger tyre is getting rough, and 3 of the 4 will be 7 years old at the next MoT. I drive a mix of city/motorway/B-Roads, but mainly city. My priorities are A. survive the necessary evils of mounting the curb to park., B. all-weather grip, C. quiet, D. economy. All input much appreciated. Stephen
