I emailed John Clark Skoda near me and explained that I wanted to upgrade my Infotainment setup in my car to MIB2 unit with Amundsen 8” screen that I’ve found from a breakers yard. And asked them if they would do CP removal and if they also do fitment. This was their reply What’s your thoughts on this?

Aryt okay, my usb only charges my phone it won’t work through source to play media for some reason. I take it Apple CarPlay is through Smart Link and am I right in believing that it’s not able to connect Wirelessly (Reason you have usb hidden in armrest out the way) as mine is currently wrapped 4 times round the gear stick 🙈

I like the look of that setup. I did have a decent one in my Rapid Spaceback with the Smartlink but that never got activated. And I’ve actually found the Unit & Screen (bit pricey) So when it gets routed you the armrest is there a specific reason it goes there?(I.e connection port put in there) or is it just to be hidden from sight? Also did I read somewhere that you need a New USB port? Would that get sent to him so the work can be done on it? Thanks for your help

Hey After looking through other threads i have come to the conclusion that I have a Bolero unit in my car with the 5.8” screen and i have read that it is possible to upgrade to the Newer style screens I take it it’s not just as simple as popping out old unit and screen and replacing? I’m looking for guidance as to what I need to buy and what Work I need done I’d prefer the Apple Car Play setup buy heard i’d have a visible wire showing, could somebody confirm that and if it’s possible to re-route it so it’s hidden What I believe I need: • MIB2 or 2.5 Multimedia Unit (Looking at 565035021A) • A Display Screen ( looking at 5E0919606D) • Antenna ( As my car doesn’t have Nav, and of like to install it) And then am I correct i need to see a specialist to Remove CP and do some Coding? Sorry if this has all been asked and answered before

Yeah I’ve changed the battery over so just need to Reset that code The main issue I’m concerned about is the 08260 code which give not information on what it could be

Hi guys I recently purchased a Carista ODB Scanner to make some changes to the car (Turning off the SoundAktor to be precise) I also gave it a quick diagnostic scan to see if there were any fault codes; it came up with 2 last night; ABS - 16401 ( is this a cause for concern?) Central Electronics - 204546 ( Which I have sorted ) However after today’s scan another one popped up and I cannot find information on it anywhere and was wondering if anybody on here has come across it. Just water leaking in. It’s only when I open boot, that instead of normally running down channels that are designed to direct water, it just splashes onto the boot floor

Hi guys looking for help with the right dog crate/cage. Up until about 4 months ago my Dog went into boot of my car no problem with just a boot guard in. Then all of a sudden he is scared to go near the car and when we lift him in he just keeps jumping out. And as we live in Aberdeen and travel to Edinburgh to visit family we can’t take him because of this. I know from experience he used to have no problem going in a cage, however now he’s grown his old puppy cage is too small and his 1 we keep him in during the day at home seems like it’s gonna be far too big. I’m looking for help from people that have got a crate for their Octavia Estate that 1- Is big enough to accommodate my dog ( Black Lab) 2- Will fit comfortably in the boot ( I have the floor which lifts back about half way to Reveal some cheap looking compartments underneath) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that may be the issue I’m having. It’s obviously not soaking the carpet as it’s not wet and checked where the spare tyre would sit and it’s fine. I haven’t seen many other people with the issue so something must of perished or slipped off where it should be. I’ll investigate at weekend but may take it to someone to have a thorough investigation

Okay thanks I’ll have a proper look this weekend. The Skoda garage I bought it from give you 1 years warranty on Approved car purchases, whether it covers that I’m not too sure. wasn’t too impressed when I noticed that 1 of the keys battery is about dead and am I right in thinking you can’t just (pop a battery out and put a new one in) it’ll need reprogrammed?
