Simply clever range?
System0fAClown replied to System0fAClown's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Not sure why they would put a ice scraper as standard spec (used less) over the funnel for the washer bottle, which is awkwardly placed behind the bonnet prop.🤷🏻 -
So picked one of these up, http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=283795508872&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 is there any other items in the range worth picking up? There would be more benefit to me having one of these if I hadn’t already fitted bonnet struts and deleted the prop.

I saw a post on a Mk3 owners club on Facebook using these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114336908702 With these fitted you can open the boot from the key fob. Has anybody had these and run into any issues? Looking around at parts I think it’s possible to make these myself for under £30, has anybody had a go at it? Tia

Yeah, if you want to keep the old one it’s going to take a while. I just pulled it off. -

The callipers fitted to my vrs don’t wind back they just need the pressure from the tool to get the pistons back in. Edit: I’m talking about fronts
-
Yeah two sizes, 340mm and 312mm. You don’t need to change them until the wear sensor has detached, you’ll get a warning light come up to telling you to check break wear. The sensor is on one side only, my 2014 has it on the left so yours should be the same. you’ll need a tool to wind the calliper back, will cost between £20 and £30.

Apple car play adapter?
System0fAClown replied to true247spartan's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Is the unit supposed to support car play? If so you may just need to change the USB port under the heater dials. The old usb is black 5Q0035726C, the new usb that supports car play is green 5Q0035726E, you’ll need to trim a piece off of the plug to get it to fit. hope this helps. -
