  1. Clearly not second nature enough if you’re hearing the tone
  2. Good Morning All, Firstly I’ve asked this question over in the Octavia chat, hoping this thread might pick up some different opinions and ideas. Do the front seats from a MK1 superb fit into a MK1 Octavia? Secondly, I was made to believe recently that a 8L Audi A3 would give me the subframes needed to mount other seats to my Octavia.. Would anyone know if the Superb seats would mount to the Audi subframes? Any help would be great, Thank You All!
  3. Seatbelt is all it is :) Annoying as hell, I thought it to was just for service announcements then realised it was happening without my belt clipped in!
  4. Hi Mate, Thanks for the response.. with the bases from the Audi A3, would that allow me to bolt seats from other non compatible cars to these bases? So for example MK3 Octavia VRS or MK1 Superb seats?
  5. Evening All, I’m wondering, the front seats slot into runners that are attached to the car right? Are these runners bolted to the car or welded? if they’re bolted and removable then is it possible that actually any Skoda seat will be able to fit, within reason! Just wondering, very specific enquiry I know. Thanks in advance!
  6. Thank you so much for this response! very very kind!
  7. Hey mate, Thank you for coming back to me so quickly! i’ve got a 53 plate, elegance estate 1.9tdi 130. Manual, air conditioning and it has a tow bar but unsure if factory fitted! Thanks again
  8. @Carlston Don’t suppose you’ve researched the front springs too have you? im after replacing my entire suspension, due to tears being quite springy when I sit on the boot lip and also an advisory on my latest mot suggesting a shock absorber maybe on its way out!
  9. That answers my question nicely, cheaper then I thought it would be too! much appreciated!
  10. I believe everything around the same era as the Golf mkIV, so A3, Leon, probably others too. The front seats all fit spot on, I believe it’s the rear benches that differ every so slightly.
  11. It’s my understanding that the Octavia runs off the same system as the Audi A4.. Superb A6 so a no go
  12. I realised today that I had airbags in my seats. @halpo where did you hear Passat seats fit? They have to match the superb mk1 seats surely?! Ha
  13. You’ll get the usual Golf, Leon, A3.. “golf gti seats are best” comments a plenty. im wondering if the Passat seats will fit will that mean the superb seats will fit also? Sorry, I’m piggy backing your request with my own ha!
  14. Good Afternoon Everyone, Now I’m unsure if my suspension is just soft naturally or if something isn’t working as it should but it’s quite bouncy, if I sit on the lip of the boot the car doesn’t put up much fight. Now.. what are my options. I’m not interested in coilovers, I don’t think the features would benefit me at all, plus I’m not interested in being able to adjust the ride height more then once! I’m after a firm but fair ride, something that resembles the newer Skodas I guess. Any recommendations will be extremely appreciated, Thanks Charlie
  15. Bizarrely had never seen them before, attended a hospital appointment and there was a white Octavia in the car park with these wheels on! Would they be too big for the MK1 do you think?
  16. See this had no responses, did you ever find out if it did? recently looked into the MK3 Octavia VRS seats into my mk1 but mounting points are different. Superb mk1 seats look to be same mounting style as Octavia mk1! Cheers Charlie
  17. Your winter wheels, black multi spokes.. sorry asked before seeing your summer rims ha!
  18. Really smart and nicely done!! may I ask, what are the wheels you’re running and what are the size of them? Thanks Charlie
  19. Hey Guys, Do the Superb interiors fit the Octavia at all? From the Mk1 Superb? It’s hard to get a definitive answer on anything.. considering how popular these cars are!
  20. Thanks @mac11irl, Annoyingly the difference between mk2 and 3 VRS seats is vast in terms of looks. Maybe I’ll look for something along the lines of the L&K interior instead.
  21. Morning @bigjohn Thanks for the response, ha don’t suppose you plan on taking the seats out of both of them do you ha! I may nip to the local scrap yard, they’re bound to have a seat I can buy to try this out with!
  22. Good Afternoon Everyone, im new to this site and although never planned on doing anything to my car I’m in a position to buy a MK3 VRS interior off a friend for a really good price. Obviously everything fits if you make it.. but I’m under the impression that MK1 seats sit into a rail on the floor.. MK3 seats come with their own rails.. now can rails from one be bolted onto the other, can bases be removed from MK1 seats and bolted to MK3 seats so they fit? is anyone aware of anyone who may have done something similar to this already? im not interested in Golf/Bora/A3/Leon seats do not fussed about them being suggested. thanks in advance Charlie
  23. Thank you! Skoda’s are a funny car, especially my age of car. It’s not a car I would have ever thought of buying but as my bmw was killing my pocket and this Octavia cost me £900 it’s turned out to be one of the best cars I’ve owned! perfect, I shall post it in there have a great day!
  24. Good Evening! I’m a southerner, living in Wakefield, West Yorkshire driving a 53 plate Octavia Elegance Estate. Hi All! I’ve been searching google high and low and it only returns me links to this forum so thought I’d join up! My query is fairly specific to my needs so hoping for the best but expecting the worse! I’ve been offered an interior out of a MK3 Octavia VRS by a friend and I’m keen to find our if the seats are likely to share the same runners, floor pattern.. if they don’t come close or if it’s even possible. i understand everything is possible with enough work - thought I’d get this in now. The seats I’m interested in are the sporty VRS seats. Any help is and will be hugely appreciated, Thanks in Advance!! Charlie
