  1. Interesting story, especially being able to drive 500 km with a pump failure. How much did it cost in Italy?
  2. i would assume the sound should come up when you enable the AC, not when disabling. Also perhaps one could change only a pulley, not the whole assembly, because the AC is working just fine
  3. Hi guys. Just started noticing the rattle coming from under the bonnet. As soon as I enable the Air Conditioning, the rattle stops. When I disable it, rattle begins. You can clearly hear that in the video. Has anyone got any ideas? Is it a AC compressor’s clutch? Is it a generators pulley? Video link: https://youtube.com/shorts/HfMIeQrJXlc?feature=share
  4. Fixed the car today. All the bearings were checked twice. Both inner CV joints were replaced (driveshafts remained original). This fixed the problem. Although there was no visible wear on CV joints, no play, but it seems like it fixed the problem.
  5. Hello guys, I have a 2015 Skoda Octavia RS 2.0 TDI. I was planning to leave on a trip tomorrow therefore I have decided to balance my wheels. Done that yesterday. After balancing I started experiencing vibration above 120 kph. The vibration is constant and does not increase under load (acceleration), it is only related to speed. The speed increases - the vibration too. It does not change when I shift to neutral. I have rebalanced the wheels since then once. The vibration remains the same. I have tried to switch rears to front, no difference. I have even changed my wheels with other Skoda, vibration continues. The repair shop checked everything, bearings, bushes, springs, engine, transmission mounts. Everything is OK. I went to the specialised transmission service. After the test ride mechanic guaranteed that it is not related to the transmission. But it may be related to the driveshaft. Tomorrow I am changing my driveshaft inner cv joints. Right CV joint has no play, left one has a very very minor one. The mechanic says it should not produce such a vibration, but I am changing it anyways. I am left stranded. I needed to leave for a trip tomorrow, but now I cannot. Since I am in a rush, I hope you have useful suggestions. sincerely Domas
  6. @SP36 How did it go? Did it require calibrating or can I just change it myself only having OBD 11 to delete the fault code?
  7. Hello, has anyone fitted H7 LED bulbs to their their SEL headlights (those with DRL LEDS and lenses). Is it necessary to remove the headlights to change the bulbs? Or is it possible to insert them via the holes in the wheel arches? Also, will it give an error on a dashboard, even though the LEDS are can-bus? https://wirer.sk/f3_led7_vymena/ Seems like a lot of hassle
