It's constant and only when the car is moving..having the fan and Aircon off makes no difference. Like I say..it's a niggle but an annoying one .same as the squeaks that I can hear inside the car when I drive..sounds like the head rests at the back or plastic creaking somewhere..

I have annoying ticking sound coming from my dashboard and it's really annoying..any ideas..sounds like a clock only louder and faster.. thought maybe a speedometer cable rubbing?

Octavia 2002. Ambiente 1.9 TDI. When I turn the engine off or even just turn the ignition key, the fan turns on and doesn't turn off for at least 15 minutes. Is this normal? Ant way of shortening the time it's on?

I thought the same before I did it..They're not that bright though..And don't stand out..

hi, I have a mk1 2002 octavia. third/high level brake ligh problem. some of the bulbs went and the rest are dim and blackened. what type of bulb are they. they are tiny. capless ones. i ordered some off amazon, but they where too big.

Am I right in assuming that the wiring remains the same in all models if the plug is the same? Or are they fussy..I have been thinking of replacing the original car cassette/cd changer too but if that's fussy too it's gonna be a pain

Just wondering if anyone knows about the fitting of automatically activated lights via replacement of the switch. The switch usually comes with a light sensor too. Can i get the same switch as the MK4 Golf/jetta for my mk1 Octavia? Its the Big plug variant

seriously thinking of just moving on to a different car TBH. i can see it being a bit of a money pit. Cars are i know, but .....I'll tinker and tweak here and there. if no joy i'll move on. it got quite a few issues. Mostly age related. Rev above 4000rpm it stalls usually, driver door switch not working(No Lights on warning or light coming on inside), lots of minute scratches on the windscreen, Reverse Parking beep is almost inaudible but works. Speedo sometimes jumps a bit on idle. Rear wiper works for five mins and stops. Its getting a little bit noisy over bumps and the Liverpool roads not helping

Yeah I'll replace them both ASAP..also it does warm up slowly when idle. One other thing. I used a turbo cleaner additive last fill up. Seemed to work..until earlier on where it's gone back to being low powered when driven for a while..don't know if it's because this time filling up I added an injector cleaner also .wasn't even a long drive?
