  1. @pab567 I take it you are the Wizard to speak to on such matters?
  2. Do you need to source your own headunit? Thinking of having this done but be very hard to source the top spec head unit in Ireland
  3. Battery was replaced in the vehicle in 2018 but I have a hard wired dash cam that is motion activated + I travel for work so car can spend up to two weeks sat in airport car parks and generally goes dead (I'd rather the dashcam remain motion activated and occasionally have a dead battery than have an incident that the camera doesn't record) I was going to replace the sensor but it's 130+VAT so I was just wondering if others had similar experience or easy fixes. I appreciate all the suggestions folks!
  4. Thanks for those suggestions, I had considered that the weak battery may have caused it, but even after charging that particular fault can still appear. I know others that did pop up after the battery died but this one is more consistent. I hope there's no rodents in the car as it's moved frequently and cleaned regularly, but I think there would be far more issues if they chewed through cabling Water ingress is possible as I clean with a powerhose but try to avoid those areas as much as possible Monaghans in Galway told me the sensor needed to be replaced, but just wanted a second opinion or a definite answer, as they got some other things wrong about the car
  5. Hi folks, Hopefully you can help, got a 16 plate Diesel L&K Superb 190 hatch with 69k miles and it's showing up that the air quality sensor is faulty. I plugged in my OBDEleven unit and the code thrown up was B10AF04. I've not noticed any issue with the climate control system so far, but is this part an easy replacement/fix? Had a few other sensors throwing issues so this car seems to be a bit of a lemon, and I'd like to get it back running as it should be Any help appreciated!
  6. If that main dealer is Frank Hogan they really don't know much.. Insisted to a mate of mine before that none of the issues we presented were warranty issues.. Went up to Monaghans in Galway only to be told all issues were warranty repairs and they even carried them out after the warranty expired. With regards the servicing, I have a 2016 190 Diesel and it had 2 services before I bought it, I serviced it at 79000km and now it's due again at 95000km. I would consider asking the dealer to change service interval as it's only been 2 months since last service
  7. Dropped my 2016 Superb L&K 190 TDI into them in October for a service, I had just brought the car in from the UK and wanted it to get a full once-over just to be sure everything was ok. Service was ok, I had all filters changed (except cabin) and brake fluid replaced as well as a glow plug replaced in Cylinder 1. All in all came to about 300€ I think. Service manager Dave was very friendly, and they offered me a lift if I needed to get somewhere. On my way in to the appointment I began to hear a knocking/creaking sound from the suspension, I reported this to them and after inspection they claimed it was my front left shock absorber which was leaking and would require replacement. Quoted €500 supply & fit (the car has DCC so shocks are expensive). Of course it was recommended to do both sides as there was a risk of imbalance otherwise so I said I would arrange for it to be done at a later date. Instructed them not to wash the vehicle and had to remind them a few times of that, bit annoying but I suppose it's a habit for them to wash by default. However, about 2 weeks later after my own investigation, I found an issue. The replaced glow plug was sat in the wiper tray, obviously forgotten by the tech. Not good that it was missed, as I spotted it immediately after opening the bonnet. Additionally, the knocking/creaking is not caused by my shocks, rather the creaky bushings that are plaguing some of these models. So another mark against the dealer there. Overall happy with their service, cost and friendliness, but quality control could be better. Would use them again
