  1. Yeah I think you're right. I didn't realise the inspection was 2 years - this ties up as it is a May 2018 build. So yeah they've just done an oil change which is due in July. So I guess it all ties up. I've no choice but to wait until they open so I assume they would do a goodwill if a warranty issue comes up. But if one didz I couldn't even take it to a garage lol! No, they were really unhelpful to be honest. They gave me a number of a Skoda dealer which they assured me was open - it wasn't. So I think we just have to sit tight.
  2. Skoda and Arnold Clark dealers are closed in my area. I've spoken with Skoda customer services and straight away the person said that they weren't certain but they believe the inspection and service should be done at the same time but something in the car may be insisting an inspection is to be carried out - I didn't think this was a thing! I do have a receipt and it doesn't have an mention of an inspection. Just a service.
  3. Thanks for your reply. I bought my car from an Arnold Clark at the end of last year. It was serviced in July 19, due for a other service by Arnold Clark in July this year (Corona dependant). It's a May 2018 build so should have warranty from Skoda for another full year. But I'm worried if I don't have this inspection done it may invalidate it?
  4. Hi, just a quick one. My 2018 Octavia is telling me I'm getting close (10 days) to the inspection date but still around 3 months till my oil service. Any idea why the inspection and oil service intervals are out of whack? Or is that intentional? Thanks! M
  5. Keen to find out more! If you could take pictures that would be handy mate!
  6. So Skoda assistance came out. Very quick call out indeed. Turns out it was the fuel overflow pipe that had come loose and has just fallen down. All sorted now!
  7. Yes it does have AC. I have Skoda assistance coming out to check as I'm away from home at the moment and the wife is concerned! Thanks
  8. Hello all, My wife has just sent me a picture of something she has spotted when walking back to the car. Is it something that has dropped down or something that has gotten stuck up there? She says it appears to be a plastic or rubber pipe. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks M
  9. 7105 footpack with 5011 fitting kit. Or if you already have the 'old' 754 footpack, you can buy the 'old' 1726 fitting kit.
  10. Any chance of a pair of comparison pictures of the lights before and after? I have halogen headlights and looking to upgrade as well!
  11. Thanks very much for the explanation - very informative!
  12. Interested in this as well. I also have a facelifted 2018 Octavia with the exact same issue you describe except i didn't have fluid coming out at all. I initially thought the hose was disconnected and started open up the boot lid plastic 'cover' to investigate. All pipes were connected. I even had someone sit in the boot whilst the pipe was disconnected from the motor, holding a bucket to make sure water was getting to the motor- which it was. I then put a needle in to the nozzle (through the wiper arm) and wiggled it about to release any blockages within the nozzle itself. This got the top nozzle working but no such luck on the bottom; it just sort of drips out of it. For now I'm happy that I can clean the rear window but I will come back to the bottom nozzle in time. Like you I can't be bothered taking it to a dealer for a full day,
  13. Could you explain the above pictures please? Just out of curiosity - if you don't mind!
  14. Yes, the 118cm bars are physically too short to enable you to set the feet at the correct width for the front.
  15. Looks great mate. I'm having to wait for the 7105 feet to come in to a supplier I'm buying the kit from. £131 for bars and feet is pretty decent I'd say! I see what you mean about the rear sticking out. Oh well, hopefully the next car uses the same 127cm bars !
