Amundsen+ DAB scans but no stations found
I received the new aerial and fitted and DAB working brilliantly. Or at least as good as it ever has. So the old antenna was bad probably water ingress. I will open it and take a look. Since I now have a GPS on the shark fin I may run a new cable to the front for that but not any time soon.

Amundsen+ DAB scans but no stations found
I have tested the cables from the head unit to the antenna and confirmed they are good and there is 12 volts available. The antenna is a 6R0035501A with two fakra cables from it one for FM and one for DAB. I can only assume the aerial is an active type and has failed. In order to not have to run wires all the way to the front or cut and make up new connectors which I don't have the tools for, I just order the 6R0035501D shark fin. I will fit this when it comes in (within 2 weeks) and will post back the results.

Amundsen+ DAB scans but no stations found
Hi Alan, I must have a different model because I don't get that menu only the version/ firmware options. I am going to pull it out next week and ohm out all the antenna wires. Then if it seems the dab wire is indeed to the roof antenna I will replace it with an amplified shark fin.

Alan, did you solve your issue? I don’t have a service menu so can’t see antenna status but would bet the dab aerial is an issue but I can’t confirm which aerial is for DAB.

DAB radio intermittent - only works clearly when boot is open
AskyA, have you found what the issue is? I have a very similar issue in my 2015 yeti. Haven’t had much luck chasing down where the DAB gets it’s antenna.

Issues with Amundsen MIB2 5L0035680C
I used to have fairly good reception but it has gotten bad lately. I had a courtesy car last week and it’s DAB was rock solid everywhere. I would consider a new antenna if I thought it would help.

Issues with Amundsen MIB2 5L0035680C
Hello all, I have been reading the forum with interest and searching for some answers. Maybe you can kindly advise me on some things please? 1. Is there a screen on the unit that shows antenna and signal information? I have seen people speak of such a screen but cannot find out what button sequence would open that for my unit. I would like this because I am have DAB reception issues. My antennas seem to be physically fine but I am not sure where the DAB gets it antenna signal. 2. I saw in another post someone said that flashing some patches/updates can enable 'Smartlink'. Is that really possible and do you know how to do it? Can you instruct me? 3. While I had the unit out of the dash yesterday I did notice the bottom was very hot, more hot than I would expect a radio to get. Any ideas why or is this normal? I also appreciate any info you can share. Many thnaks, Kenny

Also, does anyone know how to access (if even available) the screen that shows antennas and signal? I have tried many combinations of button presses to no avail. The unit is a 5L35680C.

Cost to replace DAB/ Shark fin antenna on a 2016 Skoda Yeti?
Hi again, So some new findings. I was able to verify the screen antenna is working for FM. The roof aerial is definitely not got an amplifier only two cables with Fakra and neither of them seem be for the DAB. However in the driveway where I get a DAB signal if I open the boot it kills the signal. very weird. I went to the headunit to see which aerial is which. The double connector is only FM. The DAB is a single black connector and when removed the signal dies of course. What is really a concern is the base of the head unit is very hot. More hot then I would expect any electronics to be other than maybe a valve guitar amp.

Cost to replace DAB/ Shark fin antenna on a 2016 Skoda Yeti?
Hi daz1986, Thank you for the reply. To pick your brain, does the short screw in aerial have an ampilifier? The MIB2 radio has a dual cable connector which appears to be the radio antennas. How can I check the back glass ampifier? Is there meant to be 12v there, maybe that would be a clue? If the voltage is presnt but it doesn't get signal then it may be bad. For clarification I do from time to time (I guess when near a transmitter) get DAB signals BUT I used to get it much better for longer.

I have a similar issue. DAB used to work pretty good but now it is useless. I don't have a sharkfin, it is a screw in shorty. I looked at it from under the liner and can see no amp so it must be elsewhere in the roof. I also looked at the FM antenna in the boot glass but have no idea if it is working. I can find no info on any of these or the wiring loom. Anyone have some info please?
