Door clicking and......
When I open the car with the drivers door, the door marker light flashes and there is a clicking noise that accompanies it. Also the passenger door sometimes will not open at the same time if the wife is getting in. Thoughts please?

Air con query
That maybe a plan. It still isn't blowing through cool enough after a week, so it will need plugging in. Got to get it mot'd in the next couple of weeks, and am away next weekend. When you free?

Air con query
Thanks for the reply. TBH, I didnt know that VAG hadn't used a clutch drive either, so lesson learnt for me. Just need someone with VCDS near Wakefield now.

Air con query
So had the 2010 Octy TDi regassed at the weekend, and expecting to be given a part in the next Frozen movie, I am a little disappointed. A good local garage did it for me, but he said he couldn't hear the click from the engine as it was switched on, and, at the time, he said both fans at the front were not turning. About an hour later, both fans were visibly turning, recirc was on, but still no click upon switching it on, and it appeared to go cold intermittently. Ideas? As a quick check, where is the relay for the system?

ABS/ESP and red brake warning light on
Sorry for the late reply guys. Turned out the abs pump was fubarred, and Skoda quoted me £1300 for a new one. Managed to get a second hand one from ABS City in Brum, at a cost of £150 which had the same part numbers on the pump and the ecu as mine, so took the gamble. Had it fitted and recoded by my local garage, and all fully working for a total cost of £350. The moral of the story? Don't use your daily driver to do 12 car rallies in, and use your road rally Yaris instead.

ABS pump rebuild
Anyone know of a rebuilder of abs pumps, preferably Leeds way?

ABS/ESP and red brake warning light on
Sadly not. Once it has been done, I will post back on here. Hopefully it is just an abs sensor.

ABS/ESP and red brake warning light on
Had an Autel reader on it yesterday at my trusted garage, and it came back abs pump. It is booked in next Monday for a thorough looking at.

ABS/ESP and red brake warning light on
Did a 12 car rally on Friday night, 52 miles, and everything was fine until around the last 5 miles, then without warning, I got the 3 lights.

Might I ask where to go first Ken?

ABS/ESP and red brake warning light on
Just had it read at my local garage, and they are people I know through work, and it has come back as the abs pump.

Did a 12 car rally in the Octavia L&K last night, and all 3 lights came on. Brake fluid level ok. Thoughts?

Lacquer peel
Sadly not owned the car from new. Only had it 2 months and I know it is the car wash but can't prove it. Looks like a new coat will need to be applied. Funnily enough, it is the same colour as the one in your link.

Lacquer peel
Does anyone else have lacquer peel? My 2010 L&K, started to peel on the bonnet, drivers door mirror, and around the front wheel arch, recently, after going to a hand car wash. Although I can't prove they caused it, it seems to be a lot in my opinion. Is it a Skoda thing that they put it on very thinly?

rear suspension Geometry
Yes. Find a local place that does Hunter alignment. Google it. If you read through this forum, it seems that Hunter is the preferred way to do alignment on an Octavia. Place I used, had an inspection pit which makes it easier to do from underneath once they have the parameters.

Sawtoothing type noise
OK. Sorry for the delay on this guys, but it was something so simple and funny at the same time. So. Had the Hunter alignment done, and although not a major adjustment needed, it was out of alignment. Had the wheel swapped back to front. No joy. turned out it was the nsf inner wheel arch liner that had come adrift and was rubbing on the tyre!!!!! lol. A cheap and easy fix. Now we have noise no more.

rear suspension Geometry
Not long had my done on a Hunter rig, and adjustment was required. Cost me all in £109

Dashboard led's
The thing is as well, I want to get the correct colour shade to replace with. I believe there are some slight variants. It's an OCD thing.

Dashboard led's
Got a couple of surface mounted led's having a hissy fit on the dashboard. Now, if I had the time, I would do them myself, as I can solder, however, I need to find a repairer within the Wakefield area, where I can have them remove and replace the offending items. Sending the dashboard away is a no no, as it is my only means of transport at the moment. Can anyone help?
