Sawtoothing type noise
All well and good, but no price as you go through it, and I wouldnt trust Kwik Fit with a Corgi car.

Sawtoothing type noise
So. Hot on the heels of my locking wheelbolt problem, I notice my 2010 L&K has the hallmark noise of sawtoothing which is more apparent at under 15mph, and at the moment, the tyres are that new, ( Michelin Cross Climates all round.) that no obvious evidence is apparent, so it's off to the local Hunter alignment centre to be done at a cost of £90 plus vat. What sort of price is the normal on this?

Locking wheel key and bolts
So off we got to the local stealers, and I describe my plight to the young man in the parts department, and he says that they cannot order one single locking bolt, as they come in a set, at over £50 plus vat, so I buy a standard one instead. I can get a full set off Amazon for under a tenner, but then lo and behold, and for some unknow reason, my locking one with silver cap turns up at the place where I work!!!! Oddly I have never taken it off, so I can only assume it was when the car had 4 new tyres on it just before I bought it, and it wasn't tightened properly.

Locking wheel key and bolts
Off to the stealers tomorrow to order a new locking wheel bolt for my 2010 L&K, as one is a bit suspect and I don't want any further drama. Belt and braces and all that. Are they all a standard fit, or will the local stealer need to see my locking key?

Wire routing
Thats good to know. G8FSO

Wire routing
Thanks for that. The radio has an inline fuse on the power cable, so that isn't a problem. I wasn't aware of spare fused terminals on the battery, as I have only just bought the car 2 weeks ago, and haven't had a good look around that side of things, concentrating on others. Routing the cable was my primary concern, hence the question. Being a fully licenced radio ham as well, gives me electrical knowledge with power ratings anyhow.

Wire routing
As I am involved in rallying, and am a volunteer marshal and radio operator, having recently bought my 2010 Octavia, I need to route the power cable direct to the battery from the cabin. Because of the power drain, I cannot use the cigarette lighter. Is there any access to said battery through the bulkhead, or is it a case of via the passenger door aperture, then through the gap in the top of the wing?

Bolero BT, and a dealer laugh
And to be honest, for that sort of money second hand, I can get a brand new all singing, all dancing Android for probably less.

Main beam bulbs
Just put some 55w white bulbs in that I had lying about to see how they fair for colour. If I am satisfied they are what I want, then I may invest in some more expensive branded type.

Bolero BT, and a dealer laugh
So I ring my local dealer to ask what BT unit will fit my 2010 L&K, because it doesn't have one, and the icons are greyed out, so my thinking is, it must be possible. The parts guy speaks to the master tech, who says it can't be done, and the only way around it, is to fit an aftermarket system. So if the dealer doesn't know, then there is no hope in the world....... I am glad he's not a brain surgeon.

Bolero MDI
The car doesnt have the bluetooth module fitted and it is greyed out on the Bolero. Ideally I would like to have the phone working, but am confused as to which module will utilise it, AND stream.

Bolero MDI
Forgive me if this is in the wrong place.... I have just bought a 2010 L&K 2.0 TDi, and it has the Denison MDI fitted (As well as an AUX socket.) with an Ipod end, which is interchangeable for an end for another type of device. I have a Samsung Galaxy phone, but cant find the correct adaptor to plug into the MDI. I assume if such a thing is available, it comes with a 3.5mm jack plug to plug into the phone to allow audio at the Bolero end. Can anyone help please?

Main beam bulbs
Okies, here we go. Just bought a 2010 2.0 TDi L&K, after owning a 2006 Elegance, (See Hello and Goodbye page) and have noticed that the dip beam is of the xenon type which adjust automatically, whereas the main beam are more of a yellow colour, I presume standard bulbs. So the question is, I need matching main beam bulbs, or something similar. Ideas?

I'm back
So. Until last year, 2020. I had a 2006 Octavia Elegance diesel, which I loved, and joined this here forum for advice. However, not long after buying it, I get a company car, and say goodbye to the Skoda. Fast forward a while, and the company car and the job have gone, and I am back with a 2010 L&K, 2.0 diesel with a couple of issues. I am sure I will be asking questions in the forums which have been asked a million times, so please don't shoot me if I do. It's just I am too lazy to search. Lol. So it's not a case of hello and goodbye, it's more a case of I'm back.
