This may be of interest to some. I have a 2018 Fabia SEL TSI auto , low mileage at 13,000. Regularly serviced.
Last week I experienced slight delay to gear change then within 2 days there was a loss of power, clunky gear changing and little response to throttle pedal. ECU fault showed on dash. Car was still drivable.
Phoned my nearest Skoda garage who quoted £250 + vat for initial diagnostics. Thought that was a bit on high side so took car to my local garage who quoted £75 for initial diagnostics. Diagnostics showed misfire on 2 cylinders, multi misfires.
Further investigations and fault illiminations revealed a faulty ignition coil . This was changed and also all had new spark plugs. Total cost £292 including Vat.
Very happy with the garage attitude and price .
Unusual fault for such a low mileage car, but I have never had a better car .
