In my car i have a unit screen with the number 5G0035874, This is a small screen so i bought an update 8 inch screen, No 5G6919605 B. When i swapped them the new screen doesnt work at all. I have been told my system is a MIB 1, and the screen i bought is an MIB 2. So it seems i have got to change the unit in the glove box........ Does anyone know the part number i need that will work with the 8 inch unit There are so many out there. My car is vw Golf estate 2015, same stable as the skoda. Thank you everyone. Robert.

Hi everyone. I have a Skoda Octavia mk3 . I have 2 dash cams one is working fine and working on my front windscreen. The other is the same make but i want it on my rear window. My question is , can i connect from the same fuse. Can i connect the 2 positive red wires together to the same fuse connector. Rob

Hi everyone. May i ask if anyone can recommend a DPF regeneration tool for skoda, there are so many, Im looking for a tool that can clear fault codes, diagnose what faults are present, and can perform dpf regeneration. Rob

May I ask what a emulator is. Would that solve my prob . Do I need to touch the dpf or can i leave that alone. Rob

Yes thats right, they have great units for all the Skodas, there's also a phone number you can call them on. They are really helpful.

I too had the same and changed it for an MBI2, It cost me a fortune, and you have to get it all programmed. In my opinion, not worth it. I bought a unit off ATD on ebay for my daughter, £249 all in, no programming needed, It has everything and looks great. Im my opinion better than MIB2.

Do you know if a MFSW off an octavia will work on a skoda fabia of the same year . they look as if it will the centre air bag looks the same . Anyone know for sure ?

Hi. Can anyone help please. I have a skoda fabia manual 1,6 tdi 2013. Great car but.... i have just swapped the swing radio for a RNS510. The satnav asks for a disk so i will have to get one. I would like to use hands free for my phone and be able to use voice if possible, i would also like to fit a Steering wheel with buttons on so i can control things. I would like to know what additional things i need, eg,,,, bluetooth module, wiring harness, steering module etc, does anyone know what things i need. Many thanks. Rob

Hi Everyone, I have replaced the swing radio in my 2013 fabia with the RNS510. Could anyone please help, what extra do i need to do so that it will connect my phone and voice control. I also want to put in a multi function steering wheel, what would i need for this ? Would i need programming done, the radio is working fine for radio stations and the music on the sd card. do i need anything for the sat nav. Cheers, Rob

I got the display for £130, and got the unit for £100, Then you have to pay to have it coded, between £ 80 and £ 150. it does look nice i changed the steering wheel as well. it is rather a faf to do but in the end worth it i think .

Does anyone know if to enable the FeC wether you have to go on line to do it or ia it done by programming . Rob

It reads the card by saying the card contains the map, but then nothing happens .

I will have to check that, that could be my prob.

Just changed from Bolerio to Edmundson MIB2 , i bought a sd satnav card off ebay, when i insert it it says ,,,, card contains map info,,,,,,, then nothing happens can anyone help with this please .

Hi everyone. I have a skoda octavia mk 3 and up dated my info system to Amundsen mib 2 with a new screen, I have the component protection taken off and all works fine except 2 things. The Voice button, when pressed says, You can activate with a code from your dealer, and i remember reading that the usb port has to be changed. Can anyone shed a little light on this for me and if i do need a new usb which one do i need . Best wishes Rob
