  1. Well on Auto-doc says that reference of bilstein is not appropriate for my vehicle, so I Will dig a bit further to understand why. For the time being the best match I can find is the SACHS 560 287. This One has all the config that seems to BE right ( 2UB G02) 1K0 413 031 BL. Seems more a match than KYB , for the reasons you mentioned. This has Higher extension. Thanks for all the info so far .
  2. Can you tell me a Bilstein or KYB Compatible part number ? IBelieve KYB will be 334 834 but Bilstein is very hard to be sure.
  3. I Believe them to be, but would like to confirm : 1K0 413 031 EJ or 1K0 413 031 BL 1Z5 1.6tdi CAYC
  4. Hello, Can anyone inform me what should be the correct Front Shock Absorbers to Maintain the spec of Rough road (2UB) on a Skoda Octavia Combi II (1Z5) ? Original Shocks Code: 1K0 412 021 KP I Believe current codes should be : 1K0 413 031 EJ or 1K0 413 031 BL (can anyone confirm ?) Im considering Bilstein but it's hard to find the correct part number for Rough Road. If anyone knows the part numbers of SACHS or KYB also please inform. Diameter of shocks housing = 50 mm Best Regards.
  5. I can only tell you my experience, with similar problem. And what fixed it at last. My vehicle: Skoda Octavia Combi II 1.6 tdi 1z5 CAYC. -> 1st find a good Shop that refurbishes Turbos, and also can do DPF cleaning ( that has the machine and can do the service). You may not need to do those but usually those are the shops that can figure it out, because they can do proper diagnosis. (I only know Shop in Portugal, my home country) On these vehicles there is usually a problem with the cabling, that can give those problems, although its time consuming to diagnose. But if this is the problem you wont need anything else than rewiring, and maybe ECU programing. You need a specialized shop of the type I mentioned earlier. Mine had the same symptoms, I had to leave it there for more than a week, but the man that worked on it was knowleageable, and fixed it and was not expensive, neither it required any special parts like the turbo. 350.000km on vehicle and original turbo at that time . All he did was repair the cabling because it was giving wrong signaling, and that causes havoc on the Engine Computer managment (ECU). I Hope you can find the right one. The shop that did the job for me was a Shop that refurbishes turbos, and also does DPF diagnosis and cleaning services. Those shops usually cand diagnose correctly, LIMP Modes, and Smoke problems.
  6. I've found out more Info: My car has Rough Road Suspension that has higher height it's a 2UB suspension, while my father is a 2UA (Standard suspension)
  7. Hello, I have a Skoda Combi II, 1.6 TDI with 360.000Km now and I would like to know if someone knows what are the original specs for higher ride height ? When I ordered my car i requested underbody motor protection, and I didnt know it at that time, but my car came with higher that usual suspension height. My Father has an identical car but his height in front suspension is lower than mine , his has 6 cm height on Front (top of tyre to chassis wheel hole) and 6cm height at the rear. Mine on the other hand has 10cm height on the front and 8 cm height on the back (I have one of the back shock absorbers leaking and would like to find identical match). I would like to change back suspension for the same original height that I have on mine, because my fathers rear suspension gives some kick with new shock absorbers, and mine never did, its very smooth. Also I now have 360.00km and its my first time to change any shock absorber, so i Love mine. vehicle tested anually at inspection center and never had a fault on suspension. If anyone has some info that might help me, I would appreciate it, thanks in advance. PS: I had a long life with this vehicle (and some stories... changed Dual mass clutch for single mass and never looked back, perfect and much cheaper), and I quite like it, for me it fills all the boxes.
