  1. my two cars are a 57 plate vrs octavia, and an 03 plate wrx subaru in bog standard trim, and i have to say the subaru is absolutely way faster:)
  2. why is it that most other teams seem to really want to win and the england team just seem terrified of losing? oh yes that'll be the media crucifixion squad (you know the people who really run this country) as for always blaming the manager how laughable is that then? that'll be sir alf ramsey, turnip head, sir bobby robson, kevin keegan, sven et all. mm when are we going to realize we're just not that good at football and thats it:thumbdwn:
  3. i found if i set my air con to 22 degrees it clears the screen very quickly indeed. if i set it any hotter it seems to make it worse then it takes ages.
  4. pretty sure it's an 08 one. an it's only done 850 miles:eek:
  5. hi all, i've had my new vrs mk2 for about 6 weeks now and it's started to emit a sort of spring stretching noise from the steering when parking or slow speed maneovering, any ideas what it could be anyone? cheer's derek.
  6. still lovin filling up the mk 2 vrs with v power and mercilessly thrashing the knackers off it! wake up and smell the coffee people,we'll be payin an they'll be charging us whatever they want too and your going to like it. and if you don't either go an get yourself a nissan micra or one of those electric prius jobbies. or go and live in america where v power is still £1.60 a gallon:thumbdwn:
  7. why is the stuff bad then? i used it neat on my mk 1 vrs wheels for the whole 5 years i owned it, the wheels looked just as good the day i sold the car? and the same on my brand new mk2 vrs as well:confused: just make sure you wear surgical gloves when your putting it on.
  8. i had a vrs octavia for five years and i'm now on my second one. we also have a fiesta st150 and i can't believe anyone would want to buy a ford, it is without doubt the biggest pile i have owned:thumbdwn:
  9. mr muscle window cleaner and kitchen roll, just remember to spray loads onto the kitchen roll not the window itself otherwise it goes everywhere, then get wiping! easy peasy:)
  10. for a really cheap fix get it on the v power fuel, very good indeed and does'nt cost the earth:thumbup: well unless your a tree hugger in which case it does:eek:
  11. cleaned mine last week with vanish oxy action, mmm nice:thumbup:
  12. hi again, yep gotcha now cheer's mate i'll have a go at it then, we have a powder coater who comes in my work:)
  13. ok mate, i've had a look at your mk 1 i'm still a bit confused? so all you've done is taken off the chrome trim, or have you sprayed the chrome trim black? cheer's d.
  14. really interested in how to sort this mate, any chance of some working photos?
  15. i've just inherited our 02 vrs octavia off my girlfriend. all i used to get was the privelige of washing it for her:doh: but now the car is finally all mine! we've owned the car from new and done 57,000 miles in it. still looks the business except for a few trolley dings and an engine management light that refuses to go off:confused: i've only just found this site and i'm mightily impressed already. heres to many happy hours in the future and chewing the fat with you all:thumbup:
