Hi all. Sometimes when i adjust the heat dial on the Heater/Fan/Direction control panel, the AC turns itself on for some reason. And the air recirculation button lights up too, i can easily turn them both off once the buttons are lit, but its a little annoying while driving. Any idea why? Skoda Fabia MK3 (2015)

Thanks for your advice, i fitted a new battery today, i didnt see your post, i will see how it goes, some members on here have mentioned to check for a parasitic drain, but i had already bought the battery by then, so i might as well fit it. So, all i can do is see how the new battery goes, if i have the same problem i will be posting on here for advice on possible parasitic drain.

Thank you everyone. Actually the battery could be more than 6 years old, i have owned the car 6 years, so the battery could be even older. I did order an Exide 027 EFB EL600 a few days ago from Tayna with the same 640CCA and 60AH spec as the one in my 2015 fabia mk3. I have it and will fit it today,i didnt know about parasitic draw and its worth knowing about it now. Anyway, thank you all once again, much appreciated. Lets see how it goes.

Hi nta16. Thanks for your reply. I will be replacing the battery soon,i have an Autel AL619 OBDII diagnostic scanner, i dont think it will delete any BCM codes (if any), but do know if the AL619 is of any use regarding the battery replacement?

Hi Warrior193 Thanks for your reply. I will have to get it coded at a garage, i dont have whats needed. The only message i get is the low battery warning on the display. I checked the alternator output and it was just over 14v. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated.

Hi all. I need a new battery for my Fabia MK3 as the original 6 year old battery its losing its charge after a couple of days parked up, and the car wont start because the battery is flat. I have managed to find a new one that has the same 640CCA and 60AH as my original. So, is any coding required?

I have a Fabia mk3 2015. I cant get mirrorlink to connect to my phone. Plus the infotainment head unit doesnt have android auto. So, Is it possible to use an Android auto USB adapter? If so, can one be recommended? Thanks.

Ok, thanks everyone. Well the reason i ask is because a garage fitted the said items 12 days ago and they wont tell me what brands they have fitted, i made it clear before they started the repair that i want the brands on the invoice. So they just put the part numbers. I have pestered them verbally and via email and just got one email reply saying ''Just waiting to hear back from the supplier''. That was on Dec 4th and havnt had any replies since. I will take it further if need be.

Hi all, my fabia mk3 boot lid is collecting water inside of it. When i open it fully i can hear a little amount of water slosh down. I have tried a bit of grease around each of the boot lid wiring rubber entry points, that are for the rear wiper and demister lines. But after 3 months or so the boot lid has collected water inside again. Any ideas why?

Yes i will try that, i have been out driving today for about 20 miles, the needle hasnt moved and the computer 'range' is still at 320 miles, the same as yesterday. Ok, i will fill up tomorrow and see how it goes, i will keep you all updated.

Just one partial 22 litre refill since the drain job yesterday 5th oct 2024.

Thanks for the replies, the fuel was drained from the fuel tank, i put in a partial 22 litres after the drain job was done, i covered 12 miles to get home, when i got home my OBD2 Autel AutoLink AL619 diagnostic scan tool said no trouble codes. I dont think it can reset car computer.

I accidently put diesel in my unleaded petrol fabia. Ever since a mobile mechanic drained the fuel system the fabias fuel gauge needle is stuck at the original level and it isn't dropping while driving. And neither is the onboard computer 'Range'. Can anyone help?
