  1. Do you have to get a mechanic to fit a new battery to a Skoda Superb 2014 and does it have be done via a computer?
  2. New ABS sensor fitted today and issue is resolved, thanks for all the feed-back.😋😋
  3. 😂Calibrated
  4. Some folk are saying new battery will have to celebrated to the car, does any know if that's true?
  5. Went to Halfords for a free battery check, result "BAD- REPLACE" and it's only 5 years old.
  6. Just got a text from Volksmaster to say they have sourced the ABS Skoda sensor, including fitting and recheck would be £211.44 inc VAT
  7. The wiring was checked and passed, that was the first thing after diagnostic check was done, but on checking the bearing found it to be worn,(which they showed to me) they put new bearing and new sensor on, but ended up putting the old sensor back on which seemed to solve the issue, but as I was ready to go the lights were back on, they said they think it needed a genuine Skoda sensor rather than the off the shelf one they had purchased, they took an hours labour and the cost of the sensor off the bill.
  8. Pick the problem apart, isn't easy with little or no knowledge of engines or electrics,It's mystery why I can but driving alone with no dash lights on ,then on for a few miles then off.
  9. Thanks, going to try a new battery £130.00 at Costco not fitted, them another £40.00 to link it in to the cars computer, after getting a Skoda ABS sensor fitted, getting a few people saying 10 year old battery might be the issue. And yes I already feel like asking for a refund from Volkmaster
  10. These lights come on and off intermittently, took my Superb to Volksmaster centre in Oldham, they did diagnostic and said it was from N/S/R ABS sensor, checked wiring which was ok, but said the bearing was well worn and needed to be replaced, job done also fitted a new sensor at same time, however that did not sort problem out , replaced old sensor and asked me to monitor it , and in may need a Skoda ABS sensor rather than the off the shelf one they had tried, 1 week on and the light still are coming on intermittently, any ideas please. just priced new sensor £112 + Vat.
  11. My rear wiper has stopped working Any idea where and which fuse is for the rear wiper
  12. Thanks for that 4th row down and 5th from the right wasn't it, however the 5th row down and the 4th from the right sorted the issue, by the way the rear luggage 12v plug worked throughout (weird) that might be on the fuse you suggested . So leading on from that issue , a have a dashcam which I would like to switch off with the ignition, does anyone have a simple solution?
  13. Both cigarette front and rear have no power, looked and checked in fuse area by the front door and cannot find the correct fuse to replace, from an internet search it says # 26 in luggage compartment? and its 25 amp ,but which end do you start from as they are not numbered, and is it under the bonnet or the side of the dash board or even in the luggage compartment?
