  1. While the temperature was in the 30's I took it to the garage . The aircon was not working at all . The mechanic tested the gas gas levels while the aircon was switched to low , nothing . He pushed the censer connector and it worked. This has been the sole reason for it not working when hot. The contacts on the wiring connectors only made contact when cold. The mechanics opinion is that either the person who charged the system or the one who changed the cambelt disturb the connection.
  2. For the last four years my aircon has been very poor , on for 90 seconds then off for 3 mins and then off altogether . If I switch the car off it goes through this cycle again. This only happens when the the air temperature is high 24degrees and above. I have had it re-gassed three times and checked by three garages all say it's working and can't find a fault. It works in the cooler days so I can only assume it is either the compressor overheating or the condenser freezing and is shutting down for protection. What could cause this and how do I get a mechanic to fix it. I am 60 from a specialist so leaving my car without a loaner would be a problem.
