Hi Folks 2017 Superb recently developed a tailgate strut issue, wouldn’t operate up or down leaving me to manually operate for 2 weeks (Private Hire car vehicle doing lots of airport transfers so tailgate been opened and closed constantly) As I manually opens and closed it just made several beeping noises, decided to investigate further, removed the n/s struct and found that a little thin brown wire had snapped, stripped it and bound together, electrical taped it up and hey presto a perfect working strut and tailgate. PS my local VAG trade centre wanted £504 per strut !!! I have purchased these as they seemed a bargain

I'm looking at this, I can only find Vagtec to supply the parts, although not cheap, not a lot of change from £600.00 for supply / paint / fitting.

Mine are still original silver colour, but showing a couple of light scuffs and just thought whilst been refurbished have a powder coating colour change, but a little undecided on colour, just had 4 Avon 235/45/18 ZV7 tyres fitted, first few hundred miles and seem ok.

I think light anthracite is the colour I’ll be getting, might even get the callipers done black.

Good look, the polished part of the wheels highlights the silver door trims.

I do like those, just looking at a second hand set, very tempting.

Hi all, looking to change the look of my 18” alloys, thinking anthracite. 2017 Superb 3 in business Grey I believe the colour is called, anyone else changed colour.
