  1. I do feel your anguish ! It’s worth persisting with telling them you want a complete software update mine did take a long time but is working perfectly now and was well worth waiting for. I realy don’t know if anything was replaced or was just software but with more cars they see hopefully gaining experience with the faults it will mean repairing them will become quicker . I wish you the very best of luck .
  2. I’ve had my Superb back now after a 3month software update and was told it was thoroughly tested to make sure all was ok . I have now travelled for over 1000 miles without fault and no alarms going off etc in that time . I believe for me the issues appear tobe with the early production models with the logo on the steering wheel as opposed to the letters . Hopefully they have all been addressed now and your car will be fine. I am enjoying the car now it is an exceptional vehicle but it will be a little while longer before my confidence is 100%
  3. I agree , software update is a bit of a cop out , can’t really explain away a mechanical problem for that long so calling it a software problems giving them license to hold onto it longer im thinking this car is not fit for purpose .
  4. I would assume your co -worker is getting a courtesy car if not iinsist on one as mine went in for a software update 3 months ago and still no nearer getting it back! I insisted on a courtesy car so at least im still mobile .
  5. Yes it was a software update concerning charging the battery , at first it was in for a day , however they called to say they have experience issues with other cars and would like to rebook for a couple of days so was was given a courtesy car . It now transpires they are struggling and this is a recall from Skoda UK and the dealership are now talking to skoda uk to correct the issue .
  6. No there was no issues with the car it was running fine. It has covered less than 4000 miles so this may have a bearing on why no problems had arisen .
  7. I have the 1.5 SEL superb ( ordered last year and delivered at the end of december) The cars been running fine but In July the dealership asked tfor the car tobe returned the due to a software issue . Its now been in the garage for 7 weeks , they have admitted they are at a loss as to how to rectify the issue and are waiting for specialist technicians to dial into the car to see if they can sort it out . Hopefully can get the car back soon but not too confident !
