  1. had the engine undertray off to try and identify a leak and some of the screws were missing. or snapped. tray is currently off in the garage and want to replace all the screws etc. looked on ebay and hard to find the right fixing kit. has anyone a link to the correct part number please?
  2. thanks. i think removing the undertray is next. it seems to be when i replace the coolant cap with the blue one it leaks more. it shouldnt do and unless i saw the pufddle under the car when i do i wouldnt believe it myself. i assume theres a small leak from a pipe and when the new blue cap seals the system better than the balck cap and creates more pressure it leaks more. im going to fill it up, drive to my dads work who has a ramp and then change the cap and get it up in the air with the cap off. the car is a 62 plate vrs - plate YP62 NTU. it had a new head gasket, belt and pump done in march 2020
  3. cheeky bump.......... car is still losing fluid at almost a litre every 200 miles - all around town driving. it hardly lost anything on a 1000mile return trip to cornwall. i'm at a loss as to why. no mayo in the oil and no drips on the floor? ordered another 5 litres of coolant and but want to keep topping it up all the time. nor do i want to take it to a garage with no idea of whats wrong
  4. mk2 vrs on a 62 plate @140k recently had the HG replaced as was blowing cold air when warm, bubbles in the radiator and failed sniffer test. etc. cars running great now, apart from it loses a little bit of water every 1000 miles or so. thought it might be the radiator cap as no puddles on the floor or anything. so ordered the blue one from europarts and fitted it yesterday after getting in from work. so parked up the car, topped up to max with G12+ and left over night. came out this morn to find the reservior empty and a pool on the floor! its never leaked like that before and cant see where its coming from? filled it back up, switched back to the black cap and drove for 20 minutes and no leaks now?! confused! thanks in advance
