My engine warning light came up on the way home after the canister was replaced. Keep us posted.

Petrol leaks 280ps
With this mad heat in the UK, I'm sure there will be lots of this happening. One thing I've learnt, don't overfill the tank. Once it clicks when full, stop. I've learnt my lesson. Haven't had any issues at all since getting those two components replaced on my Superb III 280. All the best guys.

Superb III Power Tailgate not operating
To my surprise I got both tailgate struts replaced under the "All in Service Plan" warranty and a 50k service without having to pay anything at Trans City Skoda, Walthamstow. The current offer worth it and they now have a spring sale on so it costs only £25.50 per month.

Superb III Power Tailgate not operating
Ouch. I only just signed up for a service, warranty, breakdown and MOT package last week. Hopefully it will be covered but I won't hold my breath. It's booked in for next month. Thanks for the heads up. All in service plan

Any idea on how much it will cost? Mine has just failed. 🥺

220 Vs 280 TSI
I initially test drove a 220 Superb SEL Estate and when I put my foot down, joining a dual carriageway, the wheelspin was crazy. That same evening I found a black 280 Superb L&K Estate after looking for a 4x4 model, not realizing it was such a wolf in sheep's clothing when I took it for a spin. The performance is like nothing I've ever owned and I have not looked back since I purchased that one. The amount of standard kit on the L&K was well worth paying for. I would advise driving both of them and decide which one you feel you would rather live with.

Petrol leaks 280ps
Hi Nick, Knowing how some of these warranties work, you may be told it's not covered. but it's still worth a claim. Skoda are quite good if you have done all your services with them. I bought mine from a Kia Dealership so they said it wasn't covered. It's not that expensive to sort out anyway but it's the principle. One replacement Carbon Canister (fixed fuel issue) and an Evap Valve (got rid of engine management light) and it's all good.

Leaking petrol tank
Hi Nick, Fuel used to pour out when I released the built up pressure by opening the petrol cap on hot days, even with tank half full. Might be worth getting it checked. Mine hasn't had a problem since, even when I fill the tank to the brim. All the best.

Leaking petrol tank
Just a slight correction. The canister was replaced first, which fixed the leaking, but shortly after I was getting an engine management warning for the evap valve which was replaced also.

Leaking petrol tank
I had the same issue last year and it was ok after the Evap Canister was replaced. Never happened again since. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/426948-petrol-leaks-280ps/

Superb III MOT Failure (co2 emissions)
Cost about £190.00. Much cheaper than getting another car. ☺️ I would struggle to replace it as nothing out there has the load lugging capacity with the performance, gadgets/features and luxury at that price.

Superb III MOT Failure (co2 emissions)
CO was =< 0.3% 0.47% (whatever that means). I've been doing a fair bit of mixed driving and gave it a good run over the weekend. Drove the car from a full tank empty over 2 days last weekend. Took it to Trans City Skoda yesterday in Walthamstow and they said the throttle body needed adjusting. It's now reading CO =< 0.2% 0.03%. It's all good now and passed through with ease Something to look out for. Thanks guys.

Superb III MOT Failure (co2 emissions)
Has anybody here experienced a MKIII Superb failing its MOT on emissions (co2)? My car has only done 40k and I haven't noticed any issues with the car since having the Evap Canister replaced . I'm not sure if using Tesco Momentum 99 has caused it to run rich. I'm quite concerned as it's coming up to 4 years old next month and I thought these cars were reliable. It sailed through everything else, but despite trying Wynns Emissions Reducer and Cataclean, it still fails to pass. Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Petrol leaks 280ps
I have not witnessed this happening with any other model in the Skoda range or on any other car from my searching. Not sure if anyone else can confirm. Failing carbon canisters yes, but petrol pouring out of the fuel cap, no. Since having the carbon canister and the evap valve replaced (with a new battery) I've seen had no other issues and the car has never ran sweeter since I purchased it in February.

Petrol leaks 280ps
Latest update. Engine management light kept coming back, even after being reset a few times. Diagnosed as a EVAP canister purge valve needing to be replaced. Another £190 later and no more lights for now. I will just keep an eye on this and hope for the best. Feeling a bit robbed, but I love how this car looks and drives. I'll keep you all posted.
