Have eventually found out from Skoda that it can't. However, have found an amazing app on Google Play called Out Loud which does. Paid version will do WhatsApp etc as well.

Please can someone tell me whether the Swing+ infotainment unit can read out text messages via Bluetooth? Thanks

Thanks pab567, when I found the cut out in the glove box I thought it might be possible, but looks like I'm stuck. Just seems a very retrograde thing for skoda to do. The bolero notified me when a text arrived and read them out aloud, the swing won't do any of that.

Please can someone tell me if the two units are interchangeable? I used to have a 2017 Fabia which had a Bolero, I now have a 2020 Fabia which has a Swing+. The Bolero was ,in my mind, far superior and I am wondering if I can replace the Swing with a Bolero. There is a push out in the glove box, so I'm thinking it might be possible depending on what's behind the screen.
