  1. So, turns out Superhero572 was right. Replaced the battery in my spare, ad voila, all sorted. So that that just leaves the issue of a busted original key. Worry for another day I think. Thanks for the help!
  2. Hi, thanks for the reply. No, I don't have Keyless entry. It's a bog standard VAG key, with the three buttons (lock, unlock, and boot). But I will check the battery in my spare just oin case. Thanks
  3. Hi, I have used the search function I promise! There was either nothing that had my exact fault(s), or threads with no close out/resolution. My key fob(s) is now not functioning for the remote central locking, and I have to open close the car with the key. There is no light on the fobs when I press the buttons. So about a month ago I got the battery low warning, so I replaced it. No issues. Came back yesterday, but just once. Then later on in the day, the fob just wouldn't work. No light. I kinda assumed the key was knackered, as I have a bad habit of continually opening and closing the key, and thought I might have damaged the pcb, or a joint. I came home, and then tried the spare to lock the car. This worked fine, and the car locked. But when I came to get in the car today, the spare is now doing the same as the original. ie no light and dead. A lot of the threads suggest the convenience module, but none of them mention no light on the key. The only thing I saw was someone said the radio unit in the key was damaged for them, but seems like a stretch for both of them to go on mine in a day. Could the module "wipe" the key, and mean the light doesn't even flash? Many thanks in advance, and apologies for joining with a question. Gus
  4. 63 plate elegance estate owner. Love everything about it, apart from the colour (cappuccino beige), and it's not my integra type R. Which incidentally is sitting in my garage with four flat tyres, a dead bettery, a snapped handbrake cable, and a dizzy that's having a fit. However, I've obviously joined because by *reliable car is now acting the goat. See over on my other thread, where I ask for tips on how to export a car to the moon
