There is a company in Germany which has produced type approved towbars for cars in the VAG group that were originally not homologated to tow. I believe that means you are allowed to fit them and tow with them as they are Type approved, but my German is a little rusty. https://www.kupplung.de/

I think the assumption is most people have all their music library on their phone now and will want to play it from their using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Thats what I do anyway. I'm not a fan of that new 2 spoke steering wheel. I wonder how you update the Maps without an SD card slot?

Status 38 means it is at Emden Port, It has been released for shipment and is waiting to get on a boat. It should be at the dealer within a couple of weeks.

It’s all a bit odd. I’m sure I heard the Scout and Edition had been discontinued now and could not be ordered. I ordered my car with a manual gearbox, and that is what is on the order. Only once it arrived with the dealer did it transpire it had been built with a DSG. After much discussion it finally transpired that they stopped putting manual gearboxes in with some engines during the Covid shutdown. There was no way I could have one built now and I would have to have the DSG or pick a different engine. I took the DSG at the price agreed for the manual.

Wow, it makes no sense how mine got built ahead of yours. Mine was ordered 10th Feb, 1.5 TSI DSG SE-L, Race Blue, Standard Sirius wheels, Heated Screen, Reversing camera, and Leather Upholstery, it arrived at the dealer on the 2nd July.

I popped out looking for a nice scenic background to take a photo of the Kodi, all I found was a farmers field and a sunset.

I have no idea, but I'm not a professional car thief. They seem able to disable them in all other makes of cars that have them that they steal, so I imagine if they were targettng Kodiaqs they would soon work out how to disable them.

Do you think a professional car thief would leave the SIM card in the car? I'm sure they know exactly how to disable that before they take the car back to their base.

It sounds like you ordered a month after I did, so I would expect it to be delivered about a month after mine, we both got held up by the same thing. The factory reopened at the end of April. I ordered on the 8th Feb, it was built mid May and I picked it up on 10th July. I would hold out for the car you ordered, if for no other reason than the reversing camera,

Is anyone else desperately waiting and wondering when they might get their new car. My new Kodiaq was ordered early Feb, the latest update I have is Status 30, so it’s built. The dealer says I might get it by the end of June, but I think he is being a bit optimistic as I believe their is quite a backlog at the factory and at Emden. Has anyone had any good news, or even picked up a car since lockdown.
