  1. Hi, I could be wrong but I think it is only the 4x4 models that have snow mode and off road mode. Not all Kodiaqs are 4x4, mine is only front wheel drive.
  2. Ah, I didn't know that. The Skoda websitesays that it's only Wireless CarPlay. It says this Wireless SmartLink for Apple Car Play only (wired for Android Auto and mirrorlink)
  3. I’ve not seen many clues yet. A slightly redesigned front end and rear end. I would expect it to get a similar PHEV to the superb. I don’t think Wireless AndroidAuto is likely, they haven’t put it anything else yet, but you never know.
  4. I have learnt something, which tomorrow I need to check. Do my brake lights stay on with auto hold or don’t they? I assumed they didn’t and once my foot was off the brake pedal the brake lights went out. I need to go check. One of my pet hates is people that sit in traffic stationary with their foot on the brake pedal, I hope people don’t think I have just because I’m using auto hold.
  5. I have very similar with a few less extras. I have never used a spare wheel in 25 years and approx 500,000 miles so decided not to bother this time. I have the leather, but it’s probably not worth It, I wish I hadn’t bothered. I don’t have the panoramic roof, had one in previous car, never even opened the blind, waster of time for me. I do have a DSG gearbox, it’s brilliant. I’ve always had manuals before, but after having this DSG I will never have a manual again. I would get a DSG over and above a lot of the add ons.
  6. I would recommend going to a running shop and get a pair fitted to you. It’s important to get the correct level of support depending on your foot shop and instep height to prevent injury. i like a Brooks Ghost, but they don’t suit everyone.
  7. I got a very good deal, which is a key reason why I accepted it. I certainly wasn't paying more.
  8. When I ordered my Kodiaq I ordered a manual, I’ve always driven manuals, apart from a few hire cars and much prefer driving manual. When my car arrived at the dealer all was well except it had been built with a DSG Gearbox. Much discussion took place and I was told, that they weren’t putting manual gearboxes in the 1.5TSi anymore. I didn’t believe it then and still don’t as you can still order one. I didn’t want to wait another 4 months for another car to be built though. I accepted the DSG as I got a good deal on it, I’ve done 1200 miles in 6 weeks. I don’t think I will ever get a manual again. I’m really glad I accepted the DSG now.
  9. only one umbrella these days. Cost cutting.
  10. Welcome to the forum. I love my Kodiaq.
  11. I only use Bilberry at a 1:10 dilution ratio, as I know it is a bit Caustic, especially if used strong, and I avoid leaving it to dwell too long before rinsing. I also don't use it everytime I clean the wheels as with the Poorboys wheel sealant on them they usually come clean with just a pressure wash and soapy water, which is what I do first and only reach for the wheel cleaner if they are not coming clean.
  12. Seriously considering this. The mirrors on my Kodiaq are really annoying me. I can spend hours cleaning, polishing, waxing, then spend the next couple of days cleaning water stains off the doors from the pesky mirrors dripping. I may need a new car cleaning toy.
  13. I use Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner on mine. I have coated the wheels in 3 coats of Poorboys Wheel sealant, and will keep topping that up to protect them. People often wax their cars to protect them but forget about the wheels. I find between the Poorboys wheel sealant and bilberry wheel cleaner they are quite easy to keep clean.
  14. The biggest complaint I got on my previous car from the kids was the rear windows were too dark and they couldn’t see out enough, especially in low light. They hated them but as they were factory tint there wasn’t much I could do about it, they much prefer the lighter tint on the Kodiaq. The level of the tint makes no difference to the amount of UV light that gets in, so personally I’m happy with the lighter tint as it keeps the kids happy as they can see out which makes spotting things much easier.
  15. Fabulous looking car.
  16. That sounds low to me. I’ve just done 1,000 miles in my 1.5 TSi DSG, and averaged 42mpg. You must have a heavier right foot than me.
  17. I plan to spend a few hundred quid of my salary on a car forever, yes. I think you do that anyway however you pay for a car if you want a new car. I used to buy a new car every 3 years with cash, after 3 years I would sell it privately and get a new car. Every 3 years I would get depressed at how much it had depreciated. This time, I have sold my car, and put the money in the bank. The money I had saved up to top that up to enable me to buy my next new car is also in the bank. My new car fund is now invested and making me money, rather than being sat on the driveway losing money. I am now leasing a car and it’s costing me less than I was saving up every month, and I have £30k Invested and that is earning me money. i don’t think I will ever buy a car again.
  18. We don’t have the Webasto option in the UK. That is a reason in itself to have the app.
  19. My Kodiaq supports a few of the features. I can plan a destination on the app and send it to the car so once I get in the car I don't need to program the sat nav. It has Live traffic I can lock/unlock the car remotely, (quite why this feature is needed escapes me.) I can turn the lights on or open the windows remotely(again, quite why I wopuld want to do this I don't know) I can check the fuel economy, well sort of, that is a bit flaky and often wrong compared to what it says in the car. I can check where I last parked the car, like I would forget. As my Kodiaq supports Android Auto, which I use all the time, I see no need for the traffic or destination setting as Waze is far superior to what is in the car, the rest I just see as a gimmick.
  20. It seems completely pointless to me. I can’t see any benefit in it, certainly nothing worth paying for.
  21. Roof mounting is the cheapest option, up to you how much you spend. There are plenty of roof bar options and roof mounted bike racks you could choose, absolutely no reason you need Skoda ones. Cheaper roof bars may be a bit noisier, different bike racks secure your frame in different ways. Halfords do roofbars for £80.00 which would fit, and a bike rack for £30.00
  22. My negatives would be. I would have liked a 5 seater SE-L. I don’t need 7 seats. Interior lights should come on at night when I turn the ignition off, so I can see to retrieve my phone, wallet, and keys before I open the door. Positives Love the space and all the storage compartments. Nice smooth ride.
  23. Which ones have horrible slippy leather seats/ We just got our SE-L and opted for leather as my wife finds it much easier to slide on leather seats getting in and out, as she has mobility problems. The leather has to be the most unslippy and grippy leather I have ever seen in a car. If there is a slippy leather option I’d love to know as we might have to change ours.
  24. I don’t have all the answers, but I went from a 2.0 Diesel manual Kuga to a 1.5 petrol DSG Kodiaq. I was concerned about size of engine but it’s actually really good. Ive only done just over 500 miles, I’m getting approx 42mpg from it, but I haven’t done any town stop start stuff, it’s all been quiet country lanes and Dual carriageway.
  25. I don’t use cheaper stuff, this stuff is absolutely brilliant. https://www.iodetail.com/collections/glass/products/kkd-krystal-screen-winter-screenwash
