Magic brown?
I've submitted all info to insurance, i'm just waiting for them to send me info how to submit dashcam info and arrange for the car to be picked up to do an assessment on the car, my insurer is going down the non-fault route but anything can happen with insurance companies these days. If they repair the car, I know it will never be the same and the paint won't match.

Driver of the other car decided they were taking the wrong exit on a ring road and decided to a sharp right into my car... lucky for me, the car behind the person that hit me had three police officers that had just finished their shifts... so they witness the whole thing. I’m just waiting for the insurance companies to fight among themselves.

VCDS options on Superb III
Does anyone know if it is possible to code a Mk3 to use the white daytime running lights to flash when the car is locked/unlocked instead of the standard turn signal colour

I never worry about passing cars on, i tend to only keep cars for 3-5 years and by the time I have finished with them they will have been to the moon and back and will probably end up at some dodgy Taxi company.

Magic brown?
The Brown one I bought used this February looked really nice in Brown with the beige interior. It was raining when i looked at it and when I picked it up a week later. I have since seen the petrol blue which I also think is a nice colour and would probably opt for if I ever change to a newer Superb. Depending on the time of day/light... it can look like a poopy brown dull colour to a borderline black car as it becomes dusk.

Am I one of a very small group of people to have a brown superb? Is this a colour most owners clubs/forums avoid? 😄- Lightcliffe Skoda - Warrington
I had a bad experience having my new company car serviced in 2017 at Skoda Lightcliff, on the first service they gave my car back, I drove some miles when oil warnings came on... turns out there was little to no oil in the car (pic attached) no oil leak anywhere. This was when we had a very bad cold spell where the temp was -5 and I was in the middle of nowhere, it took AA over 6hrs to come due to them being busy... after checking over the car, AA said there was no oil leak anywhere and proceeded to phone the closest Skoda garage which I think was near Cheshire Oaks, when they found out my car had no oil in it after a service, they refused to let the AA tow me there as they didn’t want to deal with a potential Engine issues due to no oil. I had to be towed back to Lightcliff Warringtön. ironically, while I was freezing in my car, I got a courtesy call from their service department. I said I was broken down as the car had no oil in it, the service guys words where “I wasn’t expecting that as a answer” and didn’t know how to proceed with the call. They didn’t actually to help in any way. i got a phone call the next day from a lady stating they have checked the car and confirmed no damaged had been done to the engine. However, she proceeded to tell me that the reason there was no oil in the car was because they fitted a new oil filter which soaked up all the oil. I asked if they wanted to change the cause or if they were sticking with the oil filter soaked up litres of oil, needless to say I made sure the lease company lodged a complaint.- Fuses + Dashcam, driving oneself mad...
I think the issue I had was that my car has the rear wiper installed, so I had to pull that fuse and place in the Nextbase adapter, that fuse then stopped the adapter from going in as it caught on the fuse yours is just sitting over. Placing it in the empty BSD made the adapter just sit snug above the rear wiper fuse and that larger on to the left.- Illuminate Door Sill Replacements
I make sure the type of people that scuff my car only go in my Octavia. I'm more worried if some vertically challenge person decides to stand on them to reach the roof and cracks the light part!- Fuses + Dashcam, driving oneself mad...
hi I think @GAG reply covers it, I used a nextbase series 2 hardwire kit, I was going to piggy back of the rear wiper fuse (47, full size) but the fuse holder Didn’t fit as it collided with a larger fuse, so I used the blind spot detection fuse (48), I don’t have bsd in mine so there was no fuse inserted. The nextbase adapter just fitted in.- Illuminate Door Sill Replacements
We removed the originals using a very firm plastic scraper, we managed to get it under the edge and then slowLy work it. My friend removed the left over sticky stuff with some sort of gunk remover type stuff. i was hoping to film/photograph the process but we decided to do it late evening and the heavens decided to open with rain so we just tried to work as fast as we could. if I was to do it again I probably wouldn’t... unless you’re capable of removing wires from modules.- Illuminate Door Sill Replacements
I managed to get a friend to do the install... it was all going very well until the instruction step 15 where the wiring into the BCM starts which resulted in a lot of swearing, loads of brews and that great British not to be defeated attitude of not letting it get the better of us (well, him). Removing the trim and rear seat was very easy, the hardest part was removing the wires from BCM module C, we just couldn't do it, so in the end we decided to split into the 2 wires, not ideal but it was better than wrecking the module. The BCM is very awkward to get to as well, especially if you have fat chubby North West England hands.- Fuses + Dashcam, driving oneself mad...
Please delete this or disregard, I have managed to sort it, I couldnt use the rear wiper fuse the adapter couldnt fit between to fuses next to it, and I didn't realise I only only needed one contact in the Blind Spot fuse for it to work. - Magic brown?
