Big day for the Skoda, First of all I picked up new floor mats for her, the old ones had been totally ruined after many many miles of use. I went to my local Skoda dealership and they did me a fantastic deal on the Premium floor mats which look excellent! I then completed a full detail on the car, tar removal, clay bar, polish on body work and glass. I think the finished result is very good. I am biased though! I'll have to upload the images separately because this forum is awful for uploading pictures....

What have you done to your Superb III today.... Well yesterday I bought the car, I drove it home and the past 24 hours have been pretty exciting if I am honest! Today I've been giving the car a good once over, the interior has been well used and the engine bay looks like it's never been cleaned, washed or maintained in any way. Looks like mechanically she's been well looked after though so I am lucky and I've enjoyed getting around the whole car to clean it! Starting from the Boot, I've vacuumed, shampoo'd wiped down, cleaned the plastics and try to bring them back to life. I've then cleaned the engine bay, alloys, fuel filler cap and the wiped down plastics. Anyone else find the carpets a bugger to vacuum? Really difficult in my opinion. I've added a couple of pictures below!

These alloys look amazing! Looking at mine at the moment and wondering if I could upgrade to improve the look of my Superb Mk3. What are the alloys called or what model of alloys are they? If you don't mind me asking. Nice Michelin PS4s! What size are the tyres? Thanks again and great looking alloys! My Mk3 below with the current alloys - need to figure out what they are! (Does anyone know a good decoder website that I can pop my VIN into to get the spec/ build list)

The Superb's mileage is impressive, intergalactic is possibly a stretch but getting there. I can imagine the 360 bhp 4x4 DSG petrol Sportline Plus is amazing! I've certainly got a snail, but a snail that some times feels like it's taken a bit of speed. Most of the time I am cruising around doing eco things. Sounds like you've got a weapon though. Very nice! Any pictures?

The 62 plate BMW 520d has 185,000 miles on the clock and there wasn't a cost in change. Changing to the Skoda saved me £525. Hopefully that will give a little hint to the milage on the Superb! I do like the shade to be honest, looks really good but I am wondering if I can make it look more sporty or sleek. How was the Mk2 Superb hatch? Thanks for the welcome!

Lovely! How do you find the TSI. I was very tempted by the 1.8 TSI but the car I found just happened to be a TDI. I do wish I had got a DSG but the 6 speed manual will do! I wonder how complicated a gear box swap would be!! They do look similar in many ways but understand some of the features are different! Lovely looking car! What is your favourite feature of the car?

'An avid BMW Fan and a self-confessed car snob buys a Skoda' I am brand new to Skoda ownership and my first experience maybe a little different to many people as I feel I've rolled the dice and made a little bit of a gamble on this car following reading posts on this forum before purchase. I've owned VW's, BMW's, Mini's and more BMW's. Now I've moved out of my comfort zone and bought into a different owners club. So what is the car, after much research the Skoda Superb was the estate to go for. The E Class beating space and legroom, and comfortable ride quality had caught my eye. Last year I owned a 2012 BMW 520d which had Professional Navigation (BMW's top-spec Nav) and Heads-Up Display. Even though Barry (The BMW) was comfortable with his Cinnamon Brown leather seats there was frustration when seeing newer cars with Apple Car Play, adaptive cruise control, and much-improved fuel economy pushed me to sell the car. I'll attach a picture of my 520d. Having a big comfortable estate car was a pleasure and I knew that I wanted to get the go-anywhere range with luxury comfort. The Skoda Superb Estate was The car to go for, there was no doubt that for comfort and space the Superb was in a different league to over 90% of the estate cars out in the market. I am pretty sure this is the largest boot on an estate car, even bigger than the V90, which I thought was impossible to do! Okay, the XC90 is basically a Range Rover now and has oodles of space but that's an SUV and they just aren't my thing. Don't you prefer an epic estate over an SUV? As an aside, how many miles do you think were on my 62 plate 520d (F11)? Picture below. Once I was set on the Skoda Superb I started getting into the weeds, TSI vs. TDi, Mk2 vs. Mk3 and what spec level. What was important. Following my first test drive of a 66 plate Mk3 estate, I realised the modern technologies that I'd been lusting after were as standard on the Mk3, CarPlay, electric handbrake and update looks were a big factor in the decision that was made. The Mk2, the Mk2 Superb's I had viewed were extremely reasonably priced, I still don't understand how much car you can get for your money. The Mk2 is a friendly-looking car, with curves in all the right places but it was too late. I'd driven a Mk3 on the MQB Chassis, felt the comfort, pressed all of the buttons and the hunt for a mk3 was on. Have you been searching, like I was, of the Superb and did you struggle to decide between Mk2 and Mk3? What made your decision? The car I bought, Mk3 decided, SE trim level desired I started my search and suddenly, she turned up online. A big, beautiful example of a Mk3 2.0 Tdi came upon a car search website, there weren't many pictures but from my initial search, reg check and staring at the pictures I knew I had to arrange a viewing. Two visits to the independent dealer and I drove away in my new Skoda Superb Mk3 SE Business Estate, manual 2.0 TDi in Beige (I don't agree with the V5, what colour do you think it is?) So my Cappuccino Beige Mk3 has the 150 hp 2.0 TDi engine, which I believe is based on the EA188 engine from VAG and it's mated to the 6-speed manual box with electric handbrake and auto hold. Of course, you will know about the amazing attention to detail, ice scrapers, boot organisers, the boot size itself 660 litres of pure storage and the umbrellas in the door pockets. It's basically a Rolls Royce right?!? I am loving the adaptive cruise and Apple Car Play capability. As my ownership can only be measured in days I'll have to report back once I learn more after a deep clean out! How many miles does the Skoda Superb have on it - well I've bought a Mk3 Superb Estate, on the MQB chassis and it is a Late 65 plate car. How many miles do you think this car has covered? It'd be great to hear your thoughts from just a couple of pictures (before a major clean) Glad to have joined the forum and look forward to reporting back on my journey.
