  1. @Llanigraham - thank you!. So..I was driving along today with this ringing going on in my ears and thinking about your comment about "That is definitely NOT a standard Yeti sound"...and then I remembered... I fitted a dashcam last year and it was tucked behind the rear view mirror. This fooled me, my mate, my wife, the local independent garage (who spent 15 mins with a diagnostic machine but couldn't find it). Amazing how it sounded like it was coming from behind the dash Thank you @Llanigrahamand everyone for your help. WhatsApp Video 2021-10-05 at 11.34.08 PM.mp4
  2. Thanks everyone @Carlodiesel - I disconnected battery for 10 mins and reset everything back to default in the hope it might fix it - hence Settings just on default. @muppix- yes I checked all those things @Robjon - good idea. I'll check the exact location of the sound with the bonnet up tomorrow @MX-5- no alarms @muddyjim - no trackers A bit more info that might help solve it - before this started happening, normal operation was that every time I started the car, I'd get a "Brrr....iiing" sound. I have no idea what it signified. I always found it a bit irritating but I just assumed it was part of the standard "Yeti experience". Does anyone else have that as part of normal behaviour??? The irritating sound I now have is the last quarter-of-a-second of that sound (the "....ing" bit) stuck on a constant loop/ repeat. I took it to my reliable local independent garage - they put it on diag and had no idea. The main dealer will charge £150 + VAT to put run a diag and no guarantee they find anything. Thanks in advance!!!
  3. This started happening a couple of days ago. It's one of the very irritating greeting noises that our lovely Yeti's play to us every time we start the engine....but this one seems to have got "stuck". It continues permanently even after the ignition is switched off....and then eventually stops a few minutes after that. It seems to be coming from behind the centre of the dash...not from the audio system. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks! WhatsApp Video 2021-10-04 at 4.00.49 PM.mp4
  4. Owner of a 64 plate Skoda Yeti. Automatic Petrol. Mostly happy....but a few gripes about it
  5. forgot to say - this is from a 2014 Yeti - but I think the same ones are used on the Octavia.
  6. Anyone know where I can get spare metal clips for the A Pillar? These are about 30mm long - bigger than most the others on most bits of the trim with a little cut out near the tip. (photo attached). I took the trim off to route a Dash Cam cable, and one of them pinged off and disappeared somewhere deep under the dash. Many thanks!!
