Best place for parts
I'm after an alternator for my wife's Fabia Monte Carlo. I've sourced the correct original OEM part from Autodoc (£230 without exchange) but it's about a week for delivery. Is there anywhere equally as reliable but faster and decent prices please? Skoda - £850 🤣🤣

In-tank fuel pump and sender unit 2012 Monte Carlo 1.2TSI (105)
The wife's fuel gauge is sometimes reading 1/2 a tank low. Out of changing the fuel gauge itself and changing the sender unit, I think the latter looks much easier (and cheaper) to try first. Any suggestions please? Otherwise, can anyone recommend a replacement in-tank fuel pump and sender unit for a 2012 Monte Carlo 1.2tsi (105) I think the part number is 6Q0919051F. There's a Ridex one on Autodoc for £55 including seals. Anyone know if it's any good? Cheers.

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
😁Sorry Pete, thanks for your help. Much appreciated 👍 Actually, there's one last thing (I promise 🤭). When it says 'tightening torque 120nm' on the disc description - that's referring to the wheel nuts, right?

Yes, everything original, had it from new. So if I buy discs and pads, both saying 1ZC, that will be fine?

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
That's a great help. At least I know which ones I'm looking for. What about discs though? Does the 1ZC apply to the factory brakes? What if I fit aftermarket discs (which is what I planned to do)? Would that make any difference? I mean, if I were to find and buy the right pads for PR 1ZC, would it matter which discs I bought? Edit: I think I'm ok, the discs show the same codes, found both for 1ZC

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
Cheers Pete. Here's everything I've gathered on it. It's a Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo 2012 1.2Tsi (105) (CBZB engine code if that matters) MW61 DXG VIN: TMBFN25J3C3038561 I found a PR number decoder, entered every code on the paper and you're right, no mention of front brakes. I'm trying so hard to have my first go at doing this but it seems there are so many obstacles getting in my way 😁

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
Wow, what a ball-ache 😁 I'm looking at pads and the ones I am looking at state: Fitting Position: Front Axle; for PR number: 1LR; for PR number: 1LQ I've worked out that the PR numbers are on the sticker in the boot but how do you know which PR code refers to the brakes? Or am I over-complicating things when it says it's compatible with everything else, the year, engine size, engine code etc?

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
Yeah, looking at other posts again I've looked at the label and it's a CBZB engine code, so a 1.2Tsi 105. But looking on Autodoc again, even with the right details and engine code, it still gives 2 different sizes. https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/brake-disc-10132/skoda/fabia/fabia-2006/33243-1-2-tsi?supplier[0]=48&criteria[100][1]=VA I'll measure tomorrow just to be sure. 👍

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
Thanks. I just read elsewhere on here that '105 should have 288 standard if you’ve got 256 then you’ve got a lower powered monte' but then someone else says 'IIRC the diesel has 288mm front brakes, but the petrol has 256mm brakes'. Ours is definitely the 105 so I guess I'll have to measure them. When I take the wheel off will I be able to see the wear sensors if it has them?

Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
Hi all. I've been looking at changing the front discs and pads on my wife's 2012 Monte Carlo (105bph). I've never done it before but it looks like a job i could do. The only thing is buying the correct ones. I've looked on Autodoc and entered the reg number but there are dozens of different options and sizes. Could anyone point me to a complete set of discs and pads with a good mix of price and decent quality? Thanks 👍

Door mirror
Thanks for that. I've managed to find a better looking one off the same model for £52 so I think I'll go with that. Thanks again.

Door mirror
Hi, just a quickie. My N/S door mirror off my 2012 Fabia Monte Carlo has gone walkies, I need a complete new one. Does anyone know if there are any other Skoda models with identical mirrors? There's one on ebay but I'd like a better condition one. Cheers
