2019 2.0 TDI timing belt interval
It hasn't been changed before. I bought the car in January 2020 at which point it had done 6500 miles.

Thanks, think I will look at doing mine at around 100k which should be early next year.

2019 2.0 TDI timing belt interval
Thanks, I do about 12k a year (motorway miles), but if it could be put off for another 12 months or so that would be good.

2019 2.0 TDI timing belt interval
Hi, sorry if this topic has been posted a number of times, but I have a query about timing belt intervals on a 2019 Octavia estate SE L TDI 150 AUTO. It has just been in for its MOT and service, and I also asked them to have a look at the timing belt. I'm sure I read somewhere that the interval was 100k miles, and as mine has now done 91k, it would need doing in the not too distant future. However, although they gave me a quote (£750 for timing belt and water pump), they told me the interval is now 140k. Is this right? If so, then, although I wouldn't wait until it hit 140k, it does seem I don't need to think about it just yet.

Service Interval
Hi, trying to find out if my 2019 Octavia needs a DSG oil change. Dealer said it did after 45,000 miles (which it has just reached), but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there. I have a 2019 Octavia SE L TDI estate. Which DSG would this have? All I know is that it is a 7 speed one.

Start stop error
OK, so turns out it needed a new fuel sensor. Fixed on my driveway within an hour, and covered under roadside assistance, but still a bit peeved that something has already failed on the car.

Start stop error
Started car when I left work and orange coil symbol was flashing. Checked infotainment system and it said "start stop error". Also had a look in the manual which says that symbol means an engine management fault and that car may go into limp home mode and to proceed with caution. It was certainly in limp home mode, as car had hardly any acceleration and I did barely 60mph all the way home in the slow lane. Symbol flashing all the time. Weirdly, checked infotainment again when I got home, and although the symbol was still flashing, there was no error message and it said start stop system was available. Car has now done just over 18,900 and is booked in for its first ever service next week. However, as I'm still covered, I rang Skoda Assistance and someone will be out tomorrow morning. I'll have had the car for a year on Monday. Not quite the anniversary I'd got planned!

Oil service/inspection
OK, great, thanks for that.

Oil service/inspection
Thanks for that. So, just to clarify, this will be the "oil and inspection service" that they offer? I did wonder about the warranty side of things in relation to taking it to a non-Skoda garage.

Oil service/inspection
Hi, apologies if this has been covered before, but it seems like a bit of a minefield. My 2019 Octavia SEL TDI 2.0 DSG estate is saying that it is due an oil service (in 300 miles currently). Car was bought at the end of January last year, when it had 6500 on it. It now has 18,300 ish on it. I was expecting to have to get it serviced when it had done 20k miles, so what I want to know is, if I take my car in for its oil service, will I then have to take it in when it hits 20k for a full service, something I obviously want to avoid? I do around 15k annually, so was planning on being able to take the car for one service a year ideally. I have seen that Skoda do an oil service and inspection, so was thinking about booking it in for that. As this will be the car's first ever service, I was tempted to take it to Skoda, but knowing what dealers charge, I'd really like to take it to the independent garage I have taken all my previous (non-Skoda) cars to.

Low coolant warning
Well, I checked the level this morning and it was pretty much in the middle of the two markers. Started the engine and warning came on again. Decided to phone local Skoda dealership but, as service department don't work weekends, they suggested, as I was covered, phoning roadside assistance. Did so, and within an hour, AA man arrived. Upon unscrewing the cap on the reservoir, the level dropped below the minimum so he topped it up, had a quick check for leaks (none found), and that was that. He did say he had seen similar thing on other VW group cars. Been out a few times today, and no issues. Going to be a cold night, so will see if issue happens again tomorrow but hopefully its sorted.

Low coolant warning
I didn't check it when the light came on as I was in the car park at work, with the light failing and the weather awful, and, as I have never checked the coolant level before, I decided on my driveway in the light was preferable. I kept an eye on the engine temp on the way home, which rose no higher than normal.

Low coolant warning
I'll be honest, I have never checked it (and have never had to before with any car). I assumed it was topped up when I bought it from the Skoda dealer. I have not had chance to check it since the warning light came on, as I know it needs to be done when the engine is cold, so I will be checking it tomorrow morning.

Low coolant warning
Started up my 2019 Octavia 2L Tdi estate today after it had been sat at work since Wednesday morning, and a low coolant warning came on. I have never had to top this up in any car before. Had the car since January, it had done 6500 then, and its now just ticked over to 17000. Warning light stayed on all the way home (40+ miles) but I had to call at the supermarket. Upon leaving supermarket, warning did not come on. Drove the few miles home and it was fine. I will check the level tomorrow when it is light, but I would have expected the issue to be there all the time?
