  1. Thanks for that. Battery is lead acid, so ok. Things I have heard or read are that electric windows need reprogramming and the radio/cd player loses its code after a short time (there are no details in my car of any code). I’m also worried about spurious events whilst I’m away.....the other day both front windows wound all the way open for no apparent reason? I’m sure it wasn’t accidental from the fob as the unlock button has to be depressed with some force and duration for this to happen. (It wasn’t a wet day and the car had been standing for a couple of days).
  2. Hello, I’m new here, got my Fabia SE TDI 1.6 last February. Normally I go away during the British winter and have disconnected the battery on my previous car while I’m away. On reading posts on this site it appears this might not be a good idea on my Fabia. Can someone enlighten me please?
