Options for replacing servo pipe - 6Q2612041AL.
I need to replace my brake servo pipe as it came loose the other day and I lost all braking power and the engine was misfiring badly. I traced it to the pipe coming from engine block which was loose at the engine end as well as joint in the middle (non-return valve?). The best I can find is £71 for a new one on eBay. See here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196219820139?_skw=6Q2612041AL&itmmeta=01JXWJSANRZHDEYXDVJX2HQW7H&hash=item2daf9cd86b:g:nnEAAOSwenplulRV&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA4FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1fulZqp8y71eJOJPiHCMyVpDrETF1qdt0X97wa6e%2B7ymNpK%2FWUSEbqfwZzFhAb0iV13eKSMJC%2FD09aHnj8vWyMXTRoLn9sRpf2mLEnSR7ZLQVuTnEVuXucAvX0Ivkx1WodX6fL%2FeQzl1SjN2Se5KJAL0KDdtFCQEbKuEPB%2BZ%2BKz7tdxjzEeILqC2uSM4Ff9BQJbpqfflYCcpY%2Ba%2ByYmJ%2Fv0o8FK28x1QQPPCK2zFqR2qeGyjb9jgrQC1dNgGZZe4J%2FKIK3LJbVikFhOR5lxIR02%7Ctkp%3ABFBMgqvlku9l I was wondering if there was a cheaper way to fix this, for example if any other kind of pipe can be used/how essential is the non-return? Or if any other pipes from other VAG models will do the job. Still can't get my head around the absurd price for what looks to me like a bit of rubberised hose. Any help appreciated, thanks all.

Front caliper slider pins
A further query: I have replaced the drums on the rear with a brand new shoe assembly from Pagid and new drums from Febi Bilstein. I have adjusted them to what I believe to be correct - the wheel spins freely when jacked up and I can’t hear anything rubbing or catching on the inside. I’ve slackened off the handbrake cable and readjusted for the new brakes. However, when I drive the car even for a short period the drums get very hot, too hot to touch even. There is also a high pitch squeal that appears to be in time with the wheel rotating. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is is a lubrication issue? Could the bearing nut be too tight? I torqued it to spec (50Nm). I know brakes get hot but this seems a bit excessive. Thanks again.

Front caliper slider pins
I’ve ordered new discs and pads and if need be will get new guide pins, so it may be worth it to essentially start a new. There’s a few kits on eBay for the FS-III that have the caps included so maybe I’ll spring for those. Thanks for the advice!

Front caliper slider pins
Sorry to bump an old thread but can somone confirm that the 239mm set-up doesnt require dust caps? Is that an intentional design choice? Seems strange to leave them out when they stop all manner of crap getting in the ends. I'm doing the brakes this week and want to get everything sorted asap.

Where to source new NSR door?
Mine is just a 1.2 Petrol, facelift, with no electric rear windows so shouldn't be an issue to swap. I'll keep an eye out on Facebook/eBay, thanks for the tips.

Where to source new NSR door?
As the title says - any idea best place to source a nearside rear door, used or new, in black? I've tried breakers on eBay but no joy at present so wondering if there's anywhere else people would reccomend? My Fabia is covered in scratches by virtue of living in London and having to contend with complete imbeciles when you park/drive anywhere. It's never bothered me too much but the Mrs. took the car out the other day and put an almighty set of scratches down the nearside and it looks horrendous. I was wondering best way to fix it but seems like it would be easier to just replace the door (if one can be found for cheap, say sub £100) and touch up the damage to the sill below with filler and paint? Alternatively, any advice on best way to make these gouges look any better would be great, it's just people have always told me to steer clear of bodywork and leave it to the pros. I don't need it to look immaculate, the black paint hides a fair bit anyway IME. Thanks in advance!

Rear brake advice
Thanks a lot. I do have an ex-mechanic friend who can help but I pester him all the time with car problems so was going to attempt myself. I've seen enough videos to understand what is required and have access to most of the tools I will need via work. I have reuploaded the photo as a jpeg, all it shows is the fluid leak and the absolute state of my rear drum. @aubreyWhen you say replacing both axles do you just mean replacing everything in pairs? Ie nearside and offside. The full rear brake shoe kit from Pagid is looking like it makes sense at £85 as it includes two of everything.

Rear brake advice
I took my car for an MOT today and the tester called me over and showed me some fluid that was leaking onto the inside of the rear wheel (see image), from what he thought was likely the brake cylinder. He said this should be rectified by changing the rear shoes (not sure if he knew what he was on about) but I'm wondering if it was indicative of further issues. I have seen you can buy full brake shoe kits by Pagid online and am contemplating buying this and doing a full replacement of all components, including drum if need be. Is changing the cylinder simple enough? I assume some kind of clamp is needed to stop brake fluid going everywhere. The other option I assume is to just buy new shoes and use the original springs etc. and reassemble. I am a farily handy but a bit of a novice when it comes to cars so any advice appreciated.
