  1. Hi. Justino bought a new Octavia auto transmission two liters engine. Last owner toll me he never serviced the automatic transmission. So my question on 125.000 miles is to change the fluid or not, someboby on other forum toll me that is too late (?) That the clutch material is "suspended" on oil and any new oil is missing it, with the risk of future slips. Any advice? Cheers SV

  5. Well, like tittle says, the tranny. On my 2.0 automatic petrol octy slips sometimes if drived hard. Happens on 2nd to 3rd most of time, but too on 3rd to 4th if gas pedal is pushed hard on highway speeds. The car have 180.000 Km on clock, at 120.000 Km aprox the fluid level was checked, level was ok. Can be this low oil level? Thanks folks!

Just replaced the cambelt and tensioner on my Mk1 Octavia, peace of mind again, it's the third belt, at 160.000 Km (100.000 Mi), so at 240.000 Km (150.000 Mi) is next one Next step is to change front and rear shocks. So there is a question for you the knowers What are the OEM number parts for the F/R shocks? Thanks in advance
  8. Hi folks!!! This is a question, have a petrol 2.0 autom. Octavia, changed original cam belt and tensioner @ 80000 KM, note KM Actually the car have 156000 on the clock, is always needed to change belt and tensioner every 80000 KM? Thanks Alvaro
