  1. Thanks for the video! I think I've got my heart set now! 😊 Payday is just round the corner so I think I know the first thing on the list! I'll post a photo when it gets done and leave my thoughts for any future "me's" browsing the forum! Thanks for your advice :)
  2. Nice! Got any links or photos? Very nice! I've done 40 miles since I got it home... Literally to the shop and back a couple of times, I can work from home so no need to leave really. Am looking to put in a new head unit and reversing camera but still doing my research on that. How about yourself? Done many miles or sat on the driveway? JH
  3. I hadn't seen that one on their website, I'll have a browse again though! I'll drop them an email and see what they say about the fascias If I find anything and figure anything out, I'll let you know but feel like it could be quite pricy to do it.. if you could that would be awesome did you install the reversing camera yourself, was it difficult to do at all or routing the cable through the car?
  4. Hi, which unit is it that you have specifically? Is it this one , it was mentioned earlier in the thread. Alternatively, what model do you have? I dont have steering wheel controls, might find a thread about potentially retrofitting them though 🤔 Think I'd look at doing the reversing camera as well, not sure if it'd be worth it though given there are already reversing sensors installed. Did you need to replace the fascia at all or it was a completely straight swap?
  5. Hi, Thanks for your pointers, to be fair, I don't think I'm too worried about it really, the dials give enough information on them I guess Was the unit a straight swap for the original unit or did you need any additional looms for it? Final question I promise, the unit doesn't look like it's got a USB port on the front for running Android auto etc... Did you route a cable for this anywhere and if so, where? Looks like I need to get on eBay and get myself some of that wrap, might go for black, just think the silver is a bit off really!
  6. Hi, I'm a bit new to the Skoda scene, I've got a 2010 Octavia VRS, it's got the dual climate controls like yours, I was wondering it the head unit displays what would normally appear on the standard Bolero unit? Also, does the unit work with the rear parking sensors or would I lose the visual and only get the sound output from the sensors? On a side note, I reallt like your carbon look centre console trim, where did you get it? I can't find anything anywhere for my car! Is the head units adaptor plate a standard double din unit that you can just find online? Any help would be awesome
  7. Hi, That's great mate, I've only driven it home from the dealership and to the shop and back. The white is lovely isn't it! I've been thinking that I want some Bluetooth functionality, currently browsing through the forums to find a decent unit or a retrofit option. Equally, I'm thinking of doing some lowering springs, I'm not overly looking for performance but more at the overall look and feel of driving it (I do a far drive for a commute each day!) What are you thinking? JH
  8. Hi! I've recently got a 2011 Octavia VRS TDI Estate, got it in white and absolutely love it (what little I've driven it now the UK is going into lockdown!) I thought I'd join the forum to have a chat and learn more about the Mk2 and see what things I can do to it, classy mods really. See you around
