Hi advice gods, I have an airbag light on and non working horn on my VRS. Initial investigation of those issues coupled with a crackling noise form the steering wheel lead me to believe it is a clockring / squib issue. The whole clockring thing is a minefield (prices range from £25 to £350!) and with funds tight I was hoping someone had the correct part code. Is a ribbon repair a viable DIY option? It has cruise control but no steering wheel controls. VIN number is TMBUH21Z2B2049095

Hi, after 1 as a spare for European travel, might you consider posting? You’re a bit of a trek to come up from Brighton! -
Octavia Estate mk2 & 3 tailgate compatibility?

Cheers for the quick response, I thought as much but wanted to know for sure. -
Hi all, I’ve successfully fitted towbars myself to a number of previous cars and would like to do the same to my VRS, however I cannot seem to find a definitive answer from the suppliers I’ve contacted as to what type will fit the VRS Estate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m on a budget so ideally under £100. Thanks in advance.

From reading through old posts it seems that the 225/45 profile were on standard some brand new cars. There was confusion there also. -

Hi all, First time Skoda owner from (near) Brighton. Got a MKII (facelift) Octavia VRS TDI Estate. Had a couple of TDI Passats in the past but this seems so much quicker despite the same engine. I’m willing to give most things a go and would rate myself about 5.5/10 in spannering. Cheers, Phil.
