  1. We have a 16 month old '13 reg Citigo which we are about to get rid of it for something Japanese. I was a tremendous Skoda fan having had a few but will never buy one again after our experience with this one. Our front discs had warped by 8,500 miles and, after some argument, Skoda replaced the front disc and pads as a 'goodwill gesture' as the brakes are only warrantied to 6,500 miles. We weren't happy about the aggravation but felt they'd done the right thing in the end. 2,500 miles and two months later the new discs were warped and, to cut a long story short, Skoda refused to repair them again stating it was a 'wear and tear issue caused by the way the vehicle is being used'. Utter nonsense, my wife drives the car and I can assure you she isn't a WRC driver deploying all 59 horse power and then performing massive stoppies! In fact very little braking is required on her daily commute, she doesn't sit on the brakes when she stops and we don't live on a hill. Even if she was a hard driving, heavy braker, 2,500 miles would still be a bit poor! We considered court action but in the end decided that as a pair of discs are only £40 I'd sort it myself and we'd bin the car as it also has the usual gearbox issues - which the dealer denies exists! This is interesting as I suspected there must be something else causing the problem but was faced with a 'we have never seen this before so it must be how you are using the car' or 'get knotted' in plain english! It's a shame really as the citigo would be a decent car if they hadn't made the gearbox from cheese and the brake discs from cardboard....
  2. My 2.0TDI does the same. The guage just drops to zero ans I loose the range indicator. My best guess is the sender unit. I was going to wait until the next service but it's getting more frequent so I think I'll be off to the dealer shortly!
