What are your thoughts on what it would be attached to?

I am contacting the garage tomorrow who have worked on it, they mentioned last time I saw them, 4something was rattling, and I asked and they said the only thing they could see was the undermount engine cover/shield which was loose. They said they had screwed another bolt as one was missing. They didn't say anything else about the heatshield, if they botchily secured the heatshield on. It has happened within the ownership.

It seems it is for the heatshield and looks as though the mechanic has put that in to try to resolve the issue they saw and didn't do it correctly.😠

Hi all I cam to take out the spare tyre and as I did it got punctured from a screw that is sticking out. I have put the images of it below. Any ideas about that screw? I am unsure how that has appeared. I noticed at the other side there is also a hole in the same place but has not screw on that part. Regards
