Hello,
I would like to swap my instrument cluster in my Octavia from 2005 (before FL) with maxidot from 2006. The problem is that I don't know the PIN for VCDS to required adaptation for millage and immobilizer. I'm mainly an electro engineer so instead of buying cables for VAGTacho or SuperVAG, I would like to read this pin directly from the chip in which it is stored. I have taken the instrument cluster apart, and I noticed that there is one big IC MICRONAS CDC 3217G on it, which I think is the control unit processor for cluster and 2 other small ones. One is VPSA132A which should be for something like display output (maybe? I don't have to care about it anyway) another one is EM4093 MEGAMOS chip, from the name I judge that this is the EEPROM module where the PIN is stored (maybe?)
I was trying to find something helpful on google but I saw this on clusters from Audi for example and mainly without any detailed explanation of how should I do this.
Could anyone please help me at least what I should look for to find the information which I need? I have no problem with SMD soldering or reading this ICs, but I have no idea if this pin is for example encrypted or no 😕

Thank you in advance for any kind of help
