  1. Sold today to the first person who came to see it. Please move this to "sold" and thank you Kai
  2. I have bought another car so could really do with selling the car now. If any of you know anybody looking for an excellent mk1 octy vrs please let me know. Thanks! Kai
  3. Yeah I hope so. It's just parked in the garage now and I feel like its a lot of great car for the money. Keep your eyes open team! Kai
  4. Anybody have any suggestions? Still not a single serious call after a week. Kai
  5. Thanks shark rider. Problem is that nobody seems to want one at the moment. Fingers crossed eh. Kai
  6. Whoops - just noticed MOT is wrong - it's go MOT until October 2013!! Kai
  7. Thanks pal. Appreciate that. Here's hoping someone is looking for one soon. It really is a great car but I just don't need it any longer. It's now sat in the garage waiting for a new owner.
  8. Regretfully, I am selling my excellent Skoda Octavia VRS (180bhp) hatchback.1781 cc turbocharged petrol, manual. Stunning Metallic Silver, MOT until November 2012, Tax until May 2013. Half-leather black on white sports interior. Totally standard – no chips, dump valves or big exhaust. It has covered 123,500 miles but don’t let the mileage put you off. I bought it over a year ago with 118,000 miles with no concerns. This is the well-known VW/Audi AUQ engine that will go on forever and it’s still less than 10,000 miles a year. Remember the UK police forces chose this model and ran them hard for many years. It has a full service history (I serviced it myself less than 2,000 miles ago) and it looks and drives superbly. The cambelt was done recently along with the (expensive) water pump. I also replaced the two front tyres and all of the windscreen wipers, as I like everything to be right. All of the alloy wheels are in excellent conditions with no curbing – even the spare is perfect. Everything works as it should with ABS brakes, Radio / 6 CD Multichanger, remote central locking, 3x3 point rear seat belts, heated door mirrors, front fog lights, front head restraints, steering wheel rake/reach adjustment, driver’s and passenger airbag, electric windows all round, A/C climate control, traction control – everything works just as it should. It also comes with the factory fitted remote central locking / alarm / immobilizer. The body work really is excellent for the year with just a few age related marks. There is a small scuff on the nearside rear arch which you might see if you were up close, as with a tiny split on the rear bumper – but you’d really have to be looking. Otherwise it’s in great condition. The interior has worn very well with little wear on any of the seats. The white has faded a little with time, but it has never bothered me and it’s nothing you couldn’t valet out if you wanted it to be “as new”. I bought this car as I needed to do a daily 100 mile round trip to work last year, but I now have less than 20 miles round trip so just don’t need something “sensible”, so I am saving up for a Honda S2000. The private plate is not included - I will revert it back to the original plates for you. I can honestly say that this car has been pain free to own and run – it’s fast, discreet, comfortable, ultra-reliable, returns around 37mpg average and has an enormous boot. OK, so it isn’t new car tight, but this is a serious amount of car for not much money. I won't be “breaking it”, nor will I accept any silly offers “for cash”.It's worth every penny. I am not looking to part ex or swap thank you. I am in Basingstoke, Hampshire and you can contact me here or phone me on 07876 680604. Thanks for looking.
  9. Hi all I ran a chipped Fabian vrs a few years back but now in mk1 octavia vrs. It's very nice but boost seems to fluctuate on off on off. I have heard that an "N75" might need replacing. What is it, where is it and how much do they cost? Thanks in advance
  10. Great - thanks for the help. It was the crankshaft position sensor. GSF wanted £55, CAF wanted £35 - deal!! Really tricky to get at it and replace it, but done now and car is running fine. Kai
  11. Brilliant - thank you Rob. So where would I find this sensor? How do I replace it? Kai
  12. Hi all, I joined recently so can't post on the technical help forum..... My 2001 Octavia VRS wouldn't start yesterday and when it did, the engine management light came on. The car was running badly, but luckily I just mooched home. I called the AA and he plugged in his diagnostic tool which came back with the fault code P0322. The AA man said that this doesn't tell him enough to find a fault - only that it could be anything in the ignition / distributor (doesn't have one) or engine speed (crabk position maybe?) I need to get to work but really can't afford to take the car to VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat who charge hundreds just to diagnose the fault. Has anyone got any ideas what I can do or what the fault is???? Thanks in advance for the help. Kai - Basingstoke
  13. Hi everyone, Been away from briskoda for a while, but I've returned to the fold with a Mk1 Octavia VRS. It's good to be back! I have a little tech question: My full throttle boost seems to fluc****e on and off. Boost, less, boost, less each second. Is this a well known problem? Thanks and hello again Kai
  14. I am having the Octy VRS as a company car too and the TAX benefits are equal to
