  2. Thanks for your message, but the Ignition Switch on eBay does not come with new keys, just switch only. I am waiting for an answer from the seller about new keys or not for the ignition switch.
  3. Hello, My 1998 Felicia 1.6 Glxi has an Ignition Problem. Key wouldn't turn was told by The AA that I needed a new Ignition Barrel. I had a mechanic look at it, he reckons it's the Ignition swiitch. Was just wondering if we replace the ignition switch with a new switch will I still be able to use my existing keys? Or will I have to get new keys cut? There are plenty of ignition switches available on eBay. The Skoda Part No is 6U0905851B. Parts on eBay are spurious but this seller says Ignition Switch is "Universal Type". I would be grateful if anyone could advise regarding being able to use my original keys if ignition switch is changed. Switch seems to apply to different Skoda models from late 1980's to late 90's. Thanks. Here is a link to part on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Skoda-Favorit-Felicia-VW-Caddy-Ignition-Lock-Key-Starter-Switch-6U0905851B/124006031105?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AFelicia&epid=24035698402&hash=item1cdf55df01:g:yOwAAOSwVWFee1Pf
  4. Hello, I have a 1998 1.6 Glxi Felicia. I have been looking through the Online Parts Catalogue via Briskskoda ( Oemepc & Zap) to try and Identify Part number for an Ignition Barrel for the car. I am not having much luck, can't see it listed. Does anyone have any suggestions as anywhere else to look for the parts number for an ignition barrel? The car is my daily driver and currently without transport. A bit reluctant to try scrap yards as youngest part is going to be 20 years old. The key was starting to snag in the barrel, now won't turn at all. My local dealer can't confirm if they can get one or not, would have to come from Czech Republic. There are some available on Ebay, but advert says for "models without immobilisor" my 1998 is more than likely to have an immobilisor. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Skoda-Felicia-1994-2002-New-Ignition-Lock-Barrel-Cylinder-Set-2-Keys/113969455075?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AFelicia&hash=item1a891bdfe3:g:EXAAAOSw~wZee2VC The breakdown / recovery guy who came out to me said something along the lines of these keys available on ebay would work, if I took the transponder / chip out of old key and attached it to the new ignition barrel, and then just used the new blank key to start it. If the old key was still in the vicinity of the ignition it would start. Does that sound viable? Sorry to be so vague, took 2 days recover the car, knackered. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.
  5. Hello, I have a 1998 Felicia 1.6 Glxi Facelift Model. Just wondering how to know if the car has an Immobiliser? The ignition barrel is jammed and key won't turn. The spare key has a tag on it with four different codes. I would be grateful to know for sure if the car has an Immobiliser. Thanks for any advice.
  6. Well, his first reaction was these parts must be wrong. Not very helpful. They are genuine parts, I checked the parts catalogues provided on Briskoda before I ordered them and I then checked with my local Skoda Dealer. Anyway, dealer reckons the end of cable with ball attached fits to pull-handle inside the car. Looking at my car, there is a ball on end of the old cable attached to bonnet lock. I can't see how the cable attaches to pull-handle inside car. I can't see any pin attachment. Was just wondering if anyone was familiar with this. So, I have two of the correct parts, looks like I need to order more if available, was just wondering if anyone could advise.
  7. Does the car have a Sunroof? Just a guess, but could be the drain for the Sunroof.
  8. Hello, The bonnet release cable on my car has stopped working. It is a Skoda Felicia 1.6 Glxi from 1998 (Facelift Model). Local Skoda dealer tells me parts now either hit & miss or completely discontinued & can't even be got from Czech Republic. I managed to get release cable from Ebay delivered from Latvia. Part No: 6U0823615A - Cable & Part No: 6U0823531A Pull Cable Guide Assembly. Parts shown as Part No:16 (Cable) and Part No: 14 (Cable Guide Assembly) on attached exploded diagram. I now have these. I Gave the parts to a mechanic I know but he reckoned the parts were wrong, as there is a little ball on one end of cable which attaches to bonnet lock, but nothing at other end of cable to attach to the little handle to pull inside car. Local Skoda dealer confirmed parts are correct but a small clamp is needed to attach cable to the Bonnet lock. He said to loop the end of cable back & hold in place with clip for cable. The part number is: 6U0823551 - Clip for Cable. This clamp / clip for cable is no longer available through dealer and can't find anywhere online. The Skoda dealer says that the little ball end of cable attaches to pull-handle inside the car. I'm not sure dealer is correct or familiar with the car, his advice is at odds with the setup on my car, as on my car there is a little ball that attaches the cable to the bonnet lock, not a clamp / clip. There seems to be a pin x 10 pieces available online (also from Latvia) to attach cable to pull-handle inside the car? But it just seems like a small cylinder. Part No: N 0137602 Pin. (Part No.12 on exploded diagram) Here is a link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-SKODA-VW-105-20-Garde-Favorit-Form-Pickup-pin-x10-pcs-N0137602-/143294260917 The pin is part no.12 on diagram (don't understand why in 10 pieces?) Is anyone familiar with this? Or has fitted one? So basically, I have the cable & cable guide assembly. The clip for cable is not available. Maybe I can make or find something suitable like an aluminium or copper ferrule (Image attached) and then I also need the Pin to attach cable to pull-handle inside car? I would be grateful if anyone can confirm or has any suggestions on correct way to proceed?
