Hi guys. I've got a 2014 1.6TDI where the gearbox is after self destruction and I've got a gearbox from the indestructible 1.9TDI . They're both 5 speed and they look identical and the drive shafts fit now I wonder could I use the 1.9 gearbox in the 1.6 ?

Hi, I've got a 2006 Octavia 1.9 TDI . The central lock started acting up by not responding sometimes to the remote key ( thought it was dying batteries) then it stopped responding at all from the remote ( thought the batteries died completely ). Until today when I got new batteries for both of the remotes the car is not responding to them at all, the boot does not open at all ( both remote and the button on the lid ) and the central lock switch inside the car only works on the two front doors ( rear doors are always open ) has anybody got any idea what could have went wrong ?
