I have had mine for a few months now and I can recommend getting a special edition. the paintwork looks stunning and I'm currently getting great MPG out of mine. Better hurry as there aren't many left!

Try looking on the section that deals with the different dealers in each area - and then try phoning these and playing them off against each other. I have done this with other makes and models and always seem to get price down - god luck:)

I have run and driven several vehicles on the premium diesel, and again I can't say I have noticed any difference, apart from cost. I remember reading in one of the car magazines of long term tests on the premium fuels and this came to the conclusion that it did make a difference to the total MPG of a car. Personally I always put a shot of Redex in every 3-4 tanks of diesel and have noticed this seems to help and has increased MPG on my Land Rover Defender. Still waiting to see if it makes a difference to the Skoda.

Glad you're enjoying owning the car, I've had mine a couple of weeks and it is indeed a very quick car! As for the mats, there are no specific special edition mats, I've had to make do with normal VRS mats which have a grey / white piping which would match the normal colour seats of a VRS. Hope this helps.

Bought my Fabia VRS SE from Griffin on Wednesday 9th May. Pro: good trade in price, very polite and friendly service, vehicle's controls / setup fully explained to me. Cons: car not ready on time, making me very late for work!! Looking forward to using forum for first service etc. but would recommend Griffin.

Sorry to hear that people are still waiting for their SE's. As I have said I ordered mine end of February and I finally picked mine up on Wednesday!! Skoda have handled this very badly and when I contacted them they left a message telling me what I already knew, and then received an e-mail telling me they hoped I looked forward to happy motoring in my new Skoda, when I didn't even have it!! Oh well, for those of you who are still waiting it is worth it as the car looks stunning in race blue.

I've just found your thread whilst looking for something else, which is really funny as I'm doing the exact opposite and trading gin my silver ST170 with Xenons etc for a Fabia VRS Limited Edition, this Wednesday! I must say I enjoyed owning the ST but insurance and tax was getting me down and I was getting a bit bored with it. Hope the car's still going well and the silver is definitely the best colour!

When did you order yours?? I've seen a few in the flesh and they look really good in the race blue. Only thing I cannot understand is why Skoda have fitted a six disc changer instead of xenons. as I'm sure the car would have more presence with them. Perhaps they had a few changers to get rid of!

I've been reading this thread for sometime now and have finally plucked up the courage to join. I take delivery of my Fabia SE on Wednesday, but ordered it at the end of February. Does anyone else think that Skoda UK have handled the whole thing badly and I would suggest the only reason they have done this is to drum up some expectation and excitement for a car they know will sell well? I'm a little annoyed, as some others are, that the initial promise of choosing a seat number hasn't happened and that the dealer network has basically been left with not knowing when they will get the cars to fill the orders..... there, rant over. Hopefully everything goes well Wednesday and I can start enjoying owning one!!!
