Okay maybe that could be the problem then. Using the spare key didn't work anyways.

I would say that the spin seems nomal. But maybe the compression is the problem.... hope not.

Hi, A couple of months ago i had to change the brake lines, brake pads an cylinders to the front wheels. After about 3 weeks without starting the car the engine wouldn't start. I didn't give much thought to it at the time as I simply thought it was just the battery that was dead. However after testing with jumpstarting and charching the battery over night in the garage, nothing helped. I never had any problems with starting the engine in the past. I called a friend who is a mechanic and he came over to check on the engine. He had a computer that they use in the shop with him to check any codes in the cars computer but he didnt find any. The engine turns over when turning the key. We tested the fuel injectors and the ignition, but they both checked out. We didn't find any blown fuses either. We couldn't find the problem but I read somewhere on a forum that it could be the crankshaft- or the camshaft position sensor that was at fault som I ordered theses sensors and swap them, but it didn't help. When I haven't tried to start the enginge in a couple of days and trying for the first time, it almost seems as the engine is going to start for about a second, as opposed to when I try to start afterwards when the engine keeps turning but to no avail. Anyone who has an idea? /Anton

Yeah maybe it is, i've read somewhere that someone else hade problems with the sensor aswell, however I am not so sure where it is located.

Hello, i own a Skoda Fabia Combi 6Y5 1.2 -03. The car was standing for about a month and after that the engine doesn't start, the car has never had any problems starting in the past. I have tried jumpstarting the battery and I also tried removing it and charging it overnight. I have tried changing the spark plugs. As I wrote in the title, the engine turns over. I also hear the fuel pump when I turn on the ignition. I have cheked that no fuses are blown. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
