Thanks for the help fellas! Yeh ill get that done pronto. I'll be giving it a full service soon so will replace the plugs. Can anyone recommend any? With the corsa i got recommended the cheaper copper plugs (NGK Bkr7e) when pushing for more power as they run colder and to drop the gap to 0.6/0.7mm.

Hi guys, Just thought id introduce myself. Recently bought a 2010 Octavia vrs with 60k miles on clock. Ive decided it was time for a bigger car so sold my stage 2 corsa vxr and got this bad boy! I will be looking to go stage 1 remap with a few mods (cat back and air filter). I have read there seems to be a problem with the cambelt snapping on these but not to worried about that as vxrs had plenty of "common faults" but i never had any! Im just wondering if anyone can recomend some spark plugs and what gap they should be set at. Forced induction are usually 0.6/ 0.7mm aren't they? Cheers
