  1. Sounds like the ABS sensor has problems
  2. I currently have 0478 and would very much like a link to version 0480, thanks
  3. I finally came to the bottom of this. I solved the direction problem by swapping out the motors from the old unit. Apparently, they are made with different directions. Left/right and up/down had to be swapped as well, pin 2 and 8 on the mirror connector. The joystick will only supply the motors with the correct polarity and doesn't care about the feedback from the potmeters, and this combination of motors and pins are the only one that works with this unit. When I tried the reverse dip, they mirror goes in the complete different direction. So I had to swap both potmeter sentertaps, pin 3 and 7, and the top and bottom connection, pin 5 and 1, as well to get it right. So I ended up with the following: Mirror connector - Control unit 8 - 7 (left/right motor) 3 - 13 (left/right position) 5 - 14 (pot bottom) 1 - 4 (pot top) 7 -16 (up/down pot) 2 - 8 (up/down motor) 6 - 5 (motor common) The marking on the new mirror motor is the same as in the original post, 3D0959578C. So either, the motor using is assembled wrong or the marking is wrong. This if for a LHD car BTW, but as far as I can see, the motor units are equal on both sides.
  4. I got a mirror motor from Aliexpress that seems be behave different than the original motor. The up/down and left/right motors are swapped compared with the colors on the wires (white and red). When I swop the wires, the direction both ways are swopped as well. So is seem the polarity of the motors themselves are different. This is without connecting the other wires for the positioning. I verified it with a power supply as well, and they are indeed different. Anyone else seen this?
  5. This is most probably because the original lights have diodes in series. When the lights are replaced, the current can flow the other way and the control unit thinks the boot is open when you open the glove box. Even if a LED acts like a diode, there could be additional circuitry in them that allows a small current to flow the other way.

  7. I asked about the same some time ago. I haven't gotten around to test it yet
  8. Here's mine, fits a full size 16" in case anyone is interested
  9. You can pry open the metal housing if you're careful. There's a standard T10 bulb in it
  10. Sure. I used to have in on my last car, a Peugeot 308SW. One thing is the looks/usefulness of the lights, but it's also rather satisfying getting it to work 😉
  11. What type of pins/terminals will fit into the connector?
  12. Thanks for the info! Looks like I have to remove the door cards and have a look inside. I agree that it's somewhat strange that the puddle lights is missing as it has just about every other possible option, except electric seats and drive modes. It from a batch of the last of the MK III that was sold in Norway. I used to have puddle lights on my last car, Peugeot 308 SW
  13. Damn auto correct. It should be "they close when the car is locked" 🙂
  14. Yes, power folding mirrors. They close egen the var is locked
  15. Hi Is it possible to retrofit puddle lights in the mirrors on a 2020 Octavia? I have folding and heated mirrors but no lights. Are the wire loom to the CCM already fitted? I haven't opened the mirrors to have a look, yet. I'm thinking I need at least the lower mirror covers and the lights. Is coding needed? Thanks!
