Any ideas on the cause of the fault, or how to solve it? Once I release using the manual "hole". The boot will power itself open. And pressing a button will also close the boot. It just will not open from any of the key, button, handle... Help!?

2014 mk2 Skoda Estate L&K. The boot won't open from the outside either with the key or the button to open the boot. I can open it from the inside from the emergency release and then the motor lifts and closes it using the boot buttons. All lights working also. Why won't it open? My question is does anyone know what part I most likely need to replace? lock unit? and if i need to replace the lock/other, will there be any effect to central locking, coding etc...? Many thanks

Did you solve this? I have exact same issue. All power seems OK. Boot handle is clicking, nothing happens. Was intermittent before total failure. Can release using manual safety on inside. Any help appreciated.

yes - i have put new batteries in both keys, in the same way round. one key works & led flashes on fob the other key has nothing

Hi all, I have two issues if anyone can help please? 1. I keep getting the "replace key battery" warning on MFD - but I have put new batteries in and still get the warning at intermittent times whilst driving. 2. The 1st key i was using before its flat battery (I used the spare as in a rush) now won't work. I put in new batteries - no LED flashing at all? Yes I can use the key manually - but how can I re-sync it? Does the LED on fob only flash when actively working? do i have a dud key now? Thanks
