Got it sorted out now. turns out it was the intake manifold pressure sensor

Ok thanks, I'll try that this week. There is one more thing i forgot to mention, when I changed the map sensor there was a small amount of oil on the end. I'm no mechanic but im sure its not meant to be in there.

While i was getting it looked at a random guy who came for some parts said its usually egr. But where i usually take cars for repair, apparently the wrong sensor came so they told me to get the sensor and do it myself, dont think they wanted to touch it

Hi all i have a 2011 greenline mkii and recently the glow plug light (flashing amber) then engine light (static amber) came on. I checked with obdii and got codes p0236 & p0237 but the car drives normally. On 2 occasions it started in limp mode but restarting engine was fine. 3 guys have had a look 1 said change map sensor, 1 said could be turbo other said waste gate is stuck in closed position. So changed sensor, no difference. Has anyone had a similar experience

get the rear spoiler from a greenline model it is much bigger

yes it's been done. nobody's saying anything needs doing so I'm quite happy. The fan coming on isn't actually bothering me, I just wanted to know if anyone thought there might be an underlying issue, especially with me having no previous experience with this engine I wasn't sure. thanks all 🤘

hi, I've got a 61 plate fabia greenline 2 and it seems the cooling fan is coming on too often, even after just a short run from cold with light throttle it starts and stays on for a minute or two after the engine stops. Engine isn't over heating. Took it back to local dealer and they said there is nothing wrong, its part of the dpf system just doing what it does. Is this normal for this engine ?

new to the community here, but had my little fabia for nearly 2 years, my first SKÖDA, only other VAG cars I've had were a mk2 golf and a mk1 leon, also had a mk1 ibiza just after VW got their hands on them, not sure I if that actually qualifies as a VAG. Anyway after having imprezas for the last 12 years (only 2 of em) finally got this little 1.2tdi, and i love it🤘
